  1. King is a good dealer. Fast communication and delivery. I got my IWC Portu Chrono last year and still works well until today. The website is: kingwatches.net
  2. I've done well by purchasing all the watches I like then stop going into the forums
  3. Mine just arrived from King at: www.kingwatches.net. A beautful watch indeed. Quite large too. From China to my hand in the US in 5 days. I asked her about the problematic movement. She said it shouldn't have any problems. We'll see... In the meantime, since it is only the 1st day, it's working just fine... Let's see how long it lasts
  4. Peter at IwatchStation sells the Asian 7750 movement. Email him.
  5. That's really odd about the noise. My PT/WM9 ran really quiet.
  6. His website seems to be down though
  7. Ahh...now I understand. Thank you for shedding light on this one.
  8. There's a new dealer in this forum by the name of "Jacky Chen" or "Jackie Chen". He shares the same section with "Watch Station". Has anyone in this forum dealt or purchased with Jacky/Jackie before? The Trade Review section for Jacky/Jackie is still blank. Now, there are a couple of things that came to my mind: 1. For those who purchased from Angus at Pure Time would notice that Angus' Paypal account name is also: Jacky Chen 2. Watchstation who shares the same section with Jacky Chen in this forum, is supposedly Angus' partner. So: 1. Could Jacky and Angus be the same person? Or 2. Could Jacky and Angus be working together? Some members in this forum brought up the point that Angus really has not been replying his email and according to one member who supposedly received an email from Angus explained that Angus has been facing some personal problem and most of the business is being taken care of by his partner, Peter, at Watch Station.
  9. First of all, don't take reps to any authorized dealers of any kind. Open the yellow pages and check for your "local" watchsmiths. Call him and tell him you have a regular automatic watch that needs servicing. You don't have to tell him the brand of the watch. Just ask if he could do the job for you. Only tell him it's a rep if he insists on first knowing the brand of the watch prior to you coming over to his shop. This is so both of you don't waste each other's time in case he just doesn't work on reps. When he says "yes", then take the watch to his store and when you give him the watch, casually tell him it's a replica with automatic movement. With the economy being so bad, your local watchsmiths will take the job. If you have a good rep, you'll get compliments from him and then he becomes your best friend. 10 out 10 this approach has worked well for me. Good luck.
  10. It looks soooo good and while I'm not willing to shell out the money for the gen during these tight times, so a good rep will have to do for a while I owned (but recently sold) the so called "perfect version" from Trusty. It has an ETA 2836-2 movement and a change of dial from Angus, the watch looked really good...I'm aware of past discussions on rehaut issues in those "perfect" versions, but gen yachties also looks more conical with a different looking rehaut than a sub. I've been to the local AD and tried on the gen so many times. I don't know about the noob but I'd have to say, mine looked darn good...
  11. Wonder whatever happened to this YM version from Puretime? Is the current Yachtmaster offered by Angus this version?
  12. Yes..although I don't own a noob, I did however notice this issue. The noobmariner is also too small. Angus at Puretime Watches had a thread here last December where he received new cases based on a 1 to 1 replication from a gen. I don't know if the Yachtie he's offering is actually based on the one he showed at the time, but his updated Rolesium dials are sure nice. Very silver and sparkly. I ordered it and replaced the dial on mine and it made a world of difference. His Yachtie is $178 and add $50 for an ETA version.
