This topic has been discussed so many, many times.
The bottom line is it probably doesn't make much difference in terms of movement longevity either way.
We have members that adamently believe that winders prolong the movements life.
We have members that adamently believe that winders shorten the movements life.
I don't think there is much of a measurable difference either way.
However, if you had only one watch that you wore, (and many people outside this forum do), that watch woud be constantly wound and on your wrist every day. Constantly running and running, as they are designed to do. You would never wear it only one day a month, and then let it rest the other 29 days hoping to prolong its life. A watch winder minics a watch on your wrist. The watch mechanically has no idea whether it is on the winder or on your wrist! Though it probably has less mechanical stress being gently rotated on a winder versus day to day wrist trauma. Damn that was hard hit - look - deep scratch on the bezel that time!
My only other comment would be about the crown tubes. Though our replicas are dramatically improving over the past two years, we still have crummy crown tubes. Often hard to thread, easy to cross thread. Me thinks crown tubes are still a significant weakness in our watches. The less you have to mess with them, the better.

Anyone get discounts on Panerai?

115/75 is original OEM size
Yes, that is true.
Actually that is one of the four OEM sizes offered by Panerai:
Luminor 44mm, taper 24/22
standard 115/75
XL 115/95
XS 115/68
LL 98/68
So, Arnold Swartznagger and I are still looking for 125/85 straps.
However, we wil take a 115/95 OEM size if it becomes available.

This strap list should be pinned.

Bob I took delight looking at your large selection of straps.
They look super, and with all your great prices.
I would buy a dozen Pan alligator deployant bands this minute.
However, they are all in 115/75 lengths.
Us big wristed guys are out in the cold.
How about some 125/85's?

I dont dislike the polls as much as I dislike the fact that the poll threads keep getting bumped everytime a vote is cast, regardless of whether the voter actually posts a comment. Just annoying IMO.
I agree with watcher71 on that irritating software quirk.
The only poll I ever found useful was on the reliability of the Asian 7750 movement.
That one was quite informative to me.
Polls are worthwhile only if they are intelligently thought out.
That translates to about 95% being entirely worthless, and annoying.
Me thinks its best to let the Admin handle poll postings.
Lets keep the litter off this forum.

There is something strangely familiar about this place.
Just can't seem to put my finger on it.
Kind of like a deja vu.
Maybe I will remember if I have another beer.
Hey Ken or Thor, pass me another beer.
Nanuq - throw another shrimp on the barbie for me ---
or is it Nanuq you shrimp - throw Barbie on me?

Somebody told me there was free beer over here.
Thought I would come on over and see the new place.
Looks nice.
Now where is the beer?

Andrew the TWG has them, nice ones.
Ebay also at about the same price if you add shipping cost.
P.S. they are called deployant buckles.
