It would be very helpful to forum members is you could tell us if this is the old style Asian 7750 (which is the most common), or the new improved 7750 model. If you do not know the difference then a picture of the movement in question would help us all immensely.

Ah yes TTK, fine choices they are , then you must also include these:
St. Bernardus Abt 12
Trappistes Rochefort 10
Trappist Westvleteren 8
Abbaye Des Rocs Grand Cru
La Fin Du Monde
The Belgians make some of the best beers in the world.
-
I must have died and gone to heaven.....
Three full pallets of Westvleteren !!!!!
Retep, I am coming over to your house this weekend for a few beers.
That is the coolest beer picture I have ever seen.
-
Could be Double and Triple.....................................
Ken
Right you are there Ken.
Belgian beers:
Blond Ales
Golden and Strong Ales
Dark and Strong Ales
Dubbel
Tripel
...and yes Dubbel's and Tripel's are higher alcohol beers compared to Blond and Golden Ales, not really 2X or 3X stronger, but higher alcohol never the less.
...but how do I pronounce them in the true Belgian tongue?
Thanks,
-
I am unsure how to properly pronounce these descriptors of fine Belgian ales.
A Belgian Dubbel - is it Du-bell, or is it Do-bull?
A Belgian Tripell - is it Tri-pell, or is it Tri-pull?
Or is it none of the above?
Finally, can you send me a case of Westvleteren 12 (yellow cap)?
Thanks,
-
All of my 6497's, swiss or chinese are solid.
However all of my 2836's wobble about.
I think the crown stems are too flimsy for the length.

But I can't help but wonder why, with all the money he has made from Microsoft, why does he buy reps? Surely he must be able to afford genuines.
Clive you have got this one all wrong.
He is obviously not the Dave Gates that made all his money from Microsoft.
Don't be absurd.
Rather, his proper name is David Gates, he made all his fortune from a rock and roll band.
Remember the band "Bread"; "Baby I'm a Want You", "Guitar Man", the list goes on and on.
David Gates wrote all those memorable tunes.
So, yes, he did make a large fortune, but in the rock and roll business.
But, as we all know, the life of a rock and roll star is quite an expensive lifestyle.
The reason why he now buys replica's? - his song royalties are not generating the big bucks like they use to in the good old days.

I am with you on this vote archibald.
Love the new swan neck regulator.
However, that cannon pin problem is so ugly, and so easy for them to fix.
Engraving is improved, but could be better.
Minimal improvement on the movement does not yet justify the premium price tag for me.

The kid in the back of the room has a question please.
It has been over a year since the new, improved Asian 7750 was first released.
The Master The Zigmeister Zumba himself has proclaimed this movement worthy of veneration.
Saying that it is superior to it's predecessor is then a given.
...and the question is...
Why do we not see more products available with this new, improved Asian 7750?
-
Just a thought....
When dealers leave the country on trips (business or pleasure), they will post notices here that they are out of town until further notice.
Perhaps if a business man that gets too sick to complete his current work load that has been promised; one might post a notice here also: Don't send me any more jobs as I am too sick to work for the next few months.
This would keep the work load from becoming more unmanageable, and keep current customers satisfied.
One good report will get you one new customer.
One bad report will loose you ten other potential customers.
Just business sense.....

Any chance of getting a picture of the movement in the Sichuan model?
A great pair by the way !!!
-
breitling navitimer has the new 7750
If you can find this one, sign me up for one too!
-
I would vote it a "no buy".
Mine arrived with defective movement.
Stopped at 5:00 o'clock consistently.
DaytonaT replaced it with a brand new movement.
Now it refuses to wind on my watch winder.
It has become a manual winding daytona.
However, it does keep good time.
I would go for new, improved Asian 7750 is some other configuration other than Daytona.

Hello Thomasng,
How is the bracelet to case connection?
In the pictures new model looks identical as previous model.
Same shallow screws holding bracelet into case?
Does the clasp itself work well?
Thanks,
-
I like it. Heard they scratch very easily though.
-
I like his grading system:
crap
better crap
passable
decent

Loctite makes a product just for this purpose.
"Form-A-Thread"
"Stripped thread repair"
I have used it with very good success, but never on a watch.

The Photo Gallery still lives !!!

Top adjusts the rate (speed).
Bottom ("two gold pins") adjusts the beat.
You are now in need of help to correct the problem.
ZZ or RBJ.
-
Its a beauty.
However, still has the minute markers pointing the wrong direction!!!
When are they goint to fix this blatant error?
-
Agree with you 100%.
Most visible flaw to anyone that looks at the watch.
Why you don't need to be any kind of expert to see this.
I have several with this problem to various degrees.
My latest GMT get one quarter of the date itself covered up from about day 15 to 30.
What is interesting is that the problem is unrelated to cost.
From the least expensive dealer to the most expensive dealer, they all have this issue.
Nothing like buying a brand new watch that needs repairs right out of the box.

I wish we could get imitation swan neck regulators to stick on the movement just for looks!
