  1. Watch...NICE, Links...NICE, shirt...not so much.
  2. 100 bucks? You get what you pay for I guess.
  3. Nice combo. Ar looks great.
  4. Has to be big for me. After my 44mm 111 everything seems like a kids watch. I can't imagine when my 187 comes in next week! 8" inch wrists so I think I can handle it. Bigger is better.
  5. Great info OR! I am going to have to hang out here alot longer to get that info in my brain. Lenscrafters? That's one I would have never thought of. Now all I need to do is take out the crystal. Easier said than done. Do I need any special tools or skills? I have been searching for a good strap with some luck. What is the deal with setting these chronos? I heard you have to have the hands in a specific spot before you change the date? Very bizarre.
  6. A fellow Canuck. Alright. Be prepared to let a lot of that monopoly money go!
  7. Dude you can go 2 weeks without wearing the same Pam. Impressive. No 47mm I see. Shame.
  8. wow!! what size is that beauty? Big Pilot still elusive?
  9. I know. That strap is gorgeous. I have seen a few reps though for around $80-100, Not bad. I think this watch needs something sporty for sure. Any one in the US that can do my AR? Does it take long or do I need to wait for a big batch to go through? Thanks. Don't need the superlume but AR would be really nice. I hope it is the better version. Honpo is better right? What makes it better? Movement, case?
  10. I like the 187 cause there's more going on with it but I love the 127's accuracy. You're right though there aren't as many 187's out there. Here is the one I got. Do you think it is just a regular 187 or did I luck out on a good one? Feels like Christmas in August waiting for this thing to show! What would you guys do to this one to improve it? Are there any out there without the messed up date wheel? http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=78580
  11. I had to get the 187. It is just too cool a watch and other than the date i don't see anything glaring but I am not that picky ....yet! Can't wait to get it. probably trade it for a great fiddy in a few months but this will do for a while. Thanks for the tips.
  12. I really just decided after thinking I liked the 127 that I like the 187 better. Only thing is is there a really good 187 out there? I know there are some great 127's but how close can I get with a 187? In terms of accuracy which was is more accurate? Best compared to best.
  13. Haha, if a friend is "offended" by my rep I wouldn't want him as a friend for long! There are Paneristis and then there are Paneristi that hate reps and any wrists they are on. My buds just like their watches and have too much money. I don't think they would ever ask me outright if it was real but I also don't think they know how good these things can get or just how popular they are. I think the majority of people know that the 2 fakes out there are Cartier and Rolex. I don't think they can comprehend the breadth of this industry. I never tell people my watch is real but I never tell them it isn't either. If an acquaintance asks how much is that? I say, in the store it is $xxxx.
  14. That's just it. I have a dozen friends who between them own at least 25 gen Pams!! I don't think they will inspect it but they will know exactly what a 1950 is and how much it should cost. I make good coin but I wonder how much you need to make to pull off a 20K watch.
  15. Hi guys I am looking to get a new Pam but this time I need a 47mm. I originally wanted a 127 and still love it but is there another Pam 47 mm that I should be looking at. I wonder if I can pull off a 20K 127 or does it scream FAKE. Maybe there's a better 47mm out there? Thanks
  16. Oh I thought 1/3 the price of a rep was pricey. I got it from Eddie and it was a good solid one back then. It seems the new reps are much more accurate today than my 1st gen 111. Maybe I should sell it to someone who knows how to service it..
  17. My Pam 111 stopped after a good 5 years and I was told it would be 135 bucks to clean. Is there somewhere in SoCal OC that I can get it cleaned for less? Almost cheaper to buy a new watch! Guy says it needs oiling? Thanks
  18. Was 1 mile from the epicenter in Chino Hills. Sounded like a great subwoofer and shook the place for a good 10 seconds. If that is a 5.4, I would hate to be near a 7.0 !!
  19. Hi guys, lost the bug for a while but now that my trusty Pam111 from Eddy finally died 5 years later (not bad) I am in the market for a 127 but need to do a litle research on what I am looking for. Any tips would be greatly appreciated as would any other suggestions you might have for something around 47mm. Love the sight as usual and am looking forward to getting into it without denting my wallet too much. My name changed cause I got a new car. Was magnum968 (Porsche) now is golf645 (BMW) so as I said newish noob.
