  1. WOW that might be the first time I actually saved money on this site! Usually I spend everytime I go on it! Thanks
  2. Anyone know where I can get one of these? I have a reg 187 and love it but want to get one with out the recess date wheel. Is Honpo better than 7753? Thanks for your help.
  3. Yes. Good advice. I'll do that. Any one else? Anyone... Bueller?...Bueller?
  4. I was wondering if there were any places that we better than others for quality on the streets or if there are any tricks I need to get past the cheap tourist stuff and get to the watches that you guys have made me so aware of. ( the good ones!). I am going to Thailand, Singopore, Tokyo, Cambodia, Bali, and maybe Vietnam (depending on visas). I know there are a few great markets down there for almost anything but I would like to go in with a little education. Anyone? Thanks in advance.
  5. Well I thought I only was going to even buy PAMs but it would appear that this one is going to have to be added. Thanks for the great info. Mahalo.
  6. OK thanks guys. I guess it wasn't as dumb a question as I thought.
  7. 50%? Either you were vastly underpaid before or you just married the boss. I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry.
  8. They fly about 300 people in there every day from there main office in Las Vegas. The parking lot is packed but everyone is flown into area 51 to do their research. Big plane. I think it's a 727.
  9. Now that guy can pulloff a 50mm uBoat.
  10. As mentioned before WOW WOW WOW. but what does AD stand for?
  11. The more I read here the more I realize their are some great guys on this forum and can understand why so many call it home. Very nice.
  12. Are you serious??? Holy crap that's amazing. Talk about deep in the hobby.
  13. If I had the chance to buy a gen for 4,000 or 8 super reps I think I would chose the latter. I would get bored with one gen and 2 gens would scare me to always think I am going to loose one or scratch it etc. If something happens to a rep it is not a big deal. I don't see the difference in a gen to be honest but I am not into it like some guys here. I can justify a real BMW compared to a "BMW like" car because there's a big difference in the ways it drives but can a gen really tell better time that much or feel better? I don't know.
  14. Been a MAC guy since day one couldn't be without it. Work comp is a PC and I hate it. I don't play games though. If you do it may be limited.
  15. I think I might have to go for the 127 and the 202. The fiddy is a bit dressier and can go under a dress shirt. This monster would never fit under my sleeve. The strap feels OK to me for now but I know I will at least need a nice vintage leather strap for it. Do you think I could get away with a dark brown on it?
  16. I think my next PAM is just going to be a Panerai Clock with a belt strapped around it!! How many mm's is the clock? Now I need to get some AR for this puppy. I think my left shoulder is hanging an inch lower with this thing on!
  17. Haha. Kenberg eh? I'll have to check him out. Have you tried Trevor. He's also got some great links and ties etc. Used him a few times. Pens are super cheap but refills don't fit perfectly. Solid pens though and ties were a nice surprise.
  18. Now that's a watch!. I love it. Great suit watch. How big is it? quote name='JohnG' date='Aug 12 2008, 10:35 PM' post='507869'] I know enough to BE CAREFUL! I have a Poljot and I did a lot of research in forums on dealers and there are a LOT of shady dealers of Russian watches. It is not worth saving a few bucks. I did most of my research at Watchuseek - I can't remember anything except that the dealer I selected has an impeccable reputation - Julian Kampmann. But I don't think he carries Vostok. Nevertheless, it might be worth asking him to recommend another dealer. He himself is a dream dealer - and he sends cookies with his watches. I read nothing but great things about him. He wasn't the cheapest but he wasn't the most expensive either. And he services Russian watches as well (only from his own clients though). His site is http://www.poljot24.de/en/index.html - I am sure he would offer a recommendation. But just be sure to do lots of homework - I have heard some real fright night stories of Russian scam artists. Here is my Poljot Sturmanskie:
  19. Nice collection!! The blue band and face is a great combo.
