  1. Can anyone that pays be a dealer? Is there any quality control to kick someone out if they don't operate to the satisfaction of the masses? I ask because I notice Sichuan is still here and I, along with many others, have had very bad dealings with him. Read my review in the Dealer Review section, but as far as I am concerned, I gave the guy $330 for a box of parts. Not worth it in my opinion and now he won't respond to me.
  2. I have never dealt with Paul, but have dealt with Andrew on numerous occasions. To me, it is not worth the headache of setting up WU or a Moneybrokers account. By the time you add those fees, the difference is less than $90, and to me, that is not a reason to switch. Andrew (and Joshua) is excellent to deal with and it would be worth the extra money to me to know any issues would be handled in a prompt manner. I have also dealt with another dealer (he is named in another thread of mine here) and have had problems getting him to communicate back with me and was told a little lie as to the ship date (off by a week). I hope that when that order finally arrives, there are no issues because if the current trend is any indication, it will be a long time to get them resolved. By the way, I have Andrew's 4th Gen PO and it is an incredible piece.
  3. Don't know about all of them, but I have some ETA movements in some Omegas and Rolexes and some Asian in similar watches. When you wind them, the ETA movement feels more solid, and it takes more turns of the crown to move the hour hand when setting the time, the asian hour hand flies around the dial when you turn the crown while it takes about twice as many turns for the ETA crown. Hope this helps.
  4. I placed the order about three weeks ago. I am not as concerned about it not being here yet, I am concerned about him not returning my e-mails. I have dealt with Andrew and Joshua a lot and am used to their response time. I also established a fast response time with Sichuan up to the point that he got my money, then no responses.
  5. Just wondering if anyone here has ordered from Sichuan. I placed an order for three of the ETA Rolexes he had for $100 each a few weeks ago. He acknowledged the order. A few days later I asked if it had shipped and he replied in two days that I should not worry, they would be on the way. About three days later he sent me an e-mail asking if I got my tracking info. I replied that I did not and I have sent two more e-mails over the last week inquiring about the tracking info and have not heard from him. Those of you that have ordered from him, did you have good, timely communications with him and did you get your watches?
  6. I saw a post with a link to an ebay auction a few months ago with a Panerai watch with a dial that had the 12'o'clock marker in the 3'o'clock position. It was explained that this was for a soldier to be able to see it while sighting a rifle. I have searched and cannot find it any longer. Did I dream this or does it really exist, and if so, can someone point me to a photo of it? Thanks.
  7. I was at a dealer today and noticed this and just sent an e-mail to Joshua asking him about it. Since I sent the e-mail, I poked around on the internet a bit. The Golf Professional model has the dimples: Tag Heuer Golf Professional Notice that this one (as on the Tag website) does not have the TW logo, it just says Golf Professional. I then found this auction: Tiger Woods Golf Professional Notice, this is the one that the dealers are selling. I think this is a limited edition watch, I believe it is the one that is being sold by the dealers that you bought. It does not have the dimples like the other one. I think you actually got a pretty accurate one.
  8. RBJ, I live in the Carolinas also, western NC. I found one of these in my basement last night: Snakes It was a pretty exciting experience. Actually my two-year saw it, thankful she didn't think it was a toy and try to play with it. It took a while, but I got it out. I think I would rather have dealt with a leak.
  9. Does the crown on this model thread onto a tube like my SMP? My SMP does this sometimes. I think the stem is a little short and when unwound from the tube, there is not enough room to wind it, it is wanting to thread back onto the tube. If the stem was a miniscule amount longer, then I would be able to wind mine all the time.
  10. I have a friend who was at a family get-together. One of the relatives had some new dog they were showing off, very small dog. It was playing in the front yard and a hawk swooped down and picked it up and flew off with it right in front of everybody.
  11. Not sneakers, but I find Blundstones to be very comfortable. If you haven't heard of them, they are Australian. They have recently started showing up at a lot of places here in the US, but I order mine online from Paradise Footwear. I love these things. I am on my feet a lot at retail places (Wal-Mart, Lowe's, Home Depot) with my job and these are great.
  12. After reading all of this post, I am thinking about starting a watch storage business. You send me your watch and $25, and I will send it back to you in 6-12 months, it will be a surprise. What do you guys think, would you go for this service? :-)
  13. My first concert was Ratt with Cheap Trick opening for them in 1986 or 87. My last concert I saw was last night in Cleveland, Pearl Jam. Don't know if anyone here is a PJ fan or not, but they rocked the roof off the place. Seventh time I have seen them and they never have an off night.
  14. I ordered three watches from Andrew 15 days ago. The tracking number says they are in New York as of May 11 (9 days ago) and I still have not seen them. Last time I ordered, it was two days from NY to my door. Is this current situation normal from what you guys have seen in the past?
