I can't help but asking myself three questions i haven't been able to find an answer on the internet:
1) When does the crown etched logo was introduced on rolex's crystal? Year of introduction
2) When did Rolex made the lug holes disappear from the outside of their cases? Is it the same year for every model?
3) When did Rolex introduced the rolexrolexrolex engravings against counterfeits?
I'm especially looking for infos regarding the submariner.
Thank you all in advance for your precious help!
PS: i love this forum more and more everyday.

well, prohunter did make some submariners but like two years ago. The model you referring too is inaccurate at many levels:
First, the model they tried to copy is not out yet.
Second, the prohunter version of the 16610LV will have a pro hunter in red, not the word submariner.
Third, the bracelet is completely wrong for this model.
Last, don't buy this since prohunter didn't yet make this model because they would like to wait till the Basle Watch Fair 2010 to see if Rolex do indeed upgrade the Inserts to Ceramic Inserts.
However, if its a pvd version you are looking for, you could very well buy a rep of the first submariner issued by pro hunter. I don't know if the PVD quality is any good but at least the rep is correct.

damn! Looking real good! Great purchase you got there!

I dream that one day i'll have the courage to go through with the 6538 project. Very well done! Wear it in good health!

look stunning! You already have a buyer on this one if you ever decide to part from it (me me me)

Looks fantastic NB
A genuine oyster bracelet sure does add to the feel.. but wear it for now and enjoy!!.. I decided against swapping the crystal with a gen I have.. it's that good..

What do you mean by "i decided against swappin the crystal with a gen i have.. it's that good"? You swapped with a gen crystal or you didn't?
I have one on the way. What do you think would be the best improvements? Gen insert, gen crystal? Does it need anything else?

i'm no expert on GMT's but toomuchgear did succeed in a somewhat very close result to the gen without spending $$$$$$$. Unfortunately for you, it was sold like two weeks ago. You may find the thread so as to have an example of which parts were used in the project. If i reckon correctly, the case used as a base was from silix although i'm not 100% sure. Last thing: since it was originally sold back in august, the watch has been sold twice! so maybe you'll find it up on the sales section in like 2 months! You never know...
However, building a similar example is a long road, very long!!!!
Good luck in your project;)

I just got the email. I looked at the DRSD, pretty nice watch. Some glaring dial deficencies. I was impressed with the crown position, much more centered, and the replacement crown looks much better than the one on the watch. I bet this one would really look good with a genuine crown/tube and a better dial.Nice price too for a watch with a genuine 2846 slow beat.
Springbar holes look drilled out to genuine diameter, which is a first for a rep isn't it? Would be nice to know if this one will accept genuine parts?+

I agree! Would be really nice to know this one will accept genuine parts. Very interesting price as it is!

For EU members, the best choice would be PT (Precious Time). He is based in the UK. His products are good. Send him a PM regarding the waterproof question. The only difference you'll find with other sellers might be that PT would be a little more expensive because of the

What a fine piece!
The gilt dial is a great choice! Great work from The Zigmeiste, as always.
Wear it well Lani

You all know PRO-HUNTER and PROJECT X DESIGN. However, i saw something quite astonishing: take a GMT-MASTER, the latest version, instead of the steel, no black PVD but Gun powder like PVD and the bezel was in bakelite. Quite the watch! Unfortunately, i don't remember the name of the company that produces them. Even though i am not near having enough money to buy something like that, it would be nice to find a website or a picture of the watch to share with the community.
If you see what i am speaking off, please share your infos!
Thanks everyone. I'll try to find the name and a website or picture, but for now it's really just a blur. All i can think off is that it is a two words name and maybe, MAYBE, one of them is PEARL. That is all i know.

i have a gen sd and mid size box. I opened by box and the color is a bit greenish but creamy off white. I also have a rep box and the diff are very obvious. The box posted by the OP is genuine, 100%.
cheers!
by the OP ? You mean the watch box we were discussing is genuine 100% sure? This would mean that the seller on VRF is legit? Enlight us please

Hummm...Can you post more pics? As it sounds quite suspect...
And btw, where did you get this Panerai? :-) Looks really great.
+1 for where did you get this panerai? Looks great and quite small (which i like) --> 38, 40mm?
well, i am suspicious of this seller because he only sells rolex box and tons of them. He told a dealer friend of his sell them to him. However, the members of TZ are normally keen on finding scammers. He is member for a few years now, sold tons of rolex box and nobody seems to be complaining. Don't know.

ok that is what i wondered. The stainless steel clasp is correct. so what do you reckon? GEN?
-
I have my doubts on this seller. Could help clear one thing: is he selling reps or genuines?
Look at the clasp. He could have made an error while uploading pictures but look suspicious to me.
Thanks for your help
-
BTW, did you buy it from RX888 on TZ? Because i intend aswell to buy a genuine modern rolex box. If this is the case, please give us your feedback. The only suspicious detail is that he only sales box sets.
-
a bit off topic but all i can say is that your panerai looks absolutely stunning!!!!
-
Really nice! Particularly love the dial, its "substance"! Don't know if anybody understands but it's not like any dial neat and clean, its unperfectness makes it perfect!
However, why would you put a rep DSSD clasp? convenience?
Anyway, congrats on this beauty! The SS bracelet feel is great, but try to put it on a nice NATO strap, you'll probably love it even more!

Looking good!

Personally, I'm not looking to mod... Looking for silver on silver straight out of the box.
+1

sorry but what is WMK?
and does the gen royal oak actually comes with gold screws on steel because that is something which is bothering me aswell. I'd like to find one well copied with stainless steel all the way!

i'm not going to create a new topic for that but does anyone know what tool to use to take out a bracelet from a 16610 (without lugholes). I have a cheap sub that i'd like to put on a nato and i might do the same thing with the WM9 V3 i'm going to order soon.
Is this tool the one (the first one bergeon 3153) or one of the followings: http://www.cousinsuk.com/catalog/6/1107/1305.aspx ?

The WM9 YM from BK that I have is working SUPERB 1,5 seconds fast a day ( and has been like that for a couple of mounths now!) and has been more accurate than my genuine seadweller!
And my V3 sub that I got from BK a week ago is stamped "09" on the movement wich means that the movement was made in 2009 so that it is absolutely a NEW movement ( that is not what we are used to when replicas have genuine swiss eta movemets, that a lot of times are OLD ones ( or even used ones!) and not serviced ! ) , and is working perfect also!
So both my WM9 rolex watches from BK has NEW AND fresh swiss ( of course!) eta movements in it that is NEW and serviced for sure!
You can actually hear if the movement is working well by listening to its "ticking" by Your ear, if the "ticking sound" is DIFFERENT when You listening to it upside down and vice versa then it can need a service.
But swiss eta 2824 and 2836 movements ( workhourse movements) can work quite well even when they are not serviced properely but the "ticking sound" will not be as CLEAR as when the movement is serviced !
BTW You can always trust BK when You buy from him do not worry !
I was not worried at all. Just by reading this forum, you can see that his service has been very much appreciated! No, i just wanted to know if the watch would need a service in the near future (for global cost purpose).

that is fabulous what you are saying about not knowing why some Z serials got the chapter ring and why some don't. But do you know when this was introduced? If it started with the Z and M serial, that would mean somewhat in 2006-2007, right?
