  1. Unless I'm going blind (a significant possibility) It looks like you have two watchs. The first three pictures appear to be blue dial with light blue hands on the subdials. The rest appear to be black dial with grey-brown hands on sub dial. Am I missing something besides my brain!!
  2. Very nice, is that RG or YG? Who did you buy from? I'm ready for another purchase!! EDIT ---OK I'm a moron, if I'd ready your title I would know. ENJOY.
  3. Well it's great that RWG has so many members but it seems to me it's getting hard to keep up with the posts. The general discussion area can go on for pages of todays posts. I was wondering if it would make sense to have some more folders. Like watch check, ebay deal or not, my new watch, new watch I'm thinking about. OR some such --- It's just a thought but I feel like I have to wade through a lot of unintersting posts (to me) to get ones that are intersting. I like that reps v gens is seperate, I like that The Zigmeister zone is seperate so the idea is if we could figure out a way to have more sub categories it might be more enjoyable for all. Just a thought or perhaps just another useless post that you had to wade through! mark
  4. Paul definitely has some very good prices. I'm glad I didn't see Pauls prices until after I orderd with Joshua and River. I've never bought anything from Paul, but I have more confidence in some of the other dealers so I'm glad I paid a few extra bucks for my reps.
  5. FA Jones Gold from River, I WC Gst TI joshua, tag chrono ayrton senna blue joshua. AND THEM I'm Out of Money-- for now.
  6. Yoda, If you look at PT's white chrono avenger it shows the movement. Pic is of old 7750 sorry. Also Joshua seems pretty good about taking pictures of the movements so that is a good site to check out.
  7. I just received my winder from abexpress211 on ebay. It is virtually silent. I can barely hear it with the lid closed. Here are some pics. I will post a review after I have used it for a few days.
  8. Thanks for the insite everyone. How long would you say resonable reps stay on the market? Or do the factories tend to make a batch and when the're gone the're gone. For example seems most have our dealers picked up the FA Jones, the IWC GST TI, and Pam111h asian with correct bridges. Are these going to stay around for 1 month, 6 month 1 year or what? Obviously the Pam's are very popular so I expect continued refining although to my untrained eye they seem pretty spot on. Sorry for the lack of coherent question it's just hard not to want to buy a couple of watches every week!
  9. As a newbie I was wondering if reps get revised from time to time. Obviously some of the more popular ones-rolex, omega, pam, just keep improving. But what about the others. For example fa jones, as I understand it very accurate front, but ofcourse back is generic. If one waits what is the chance that this will improve? Now perhaps this isn't a fair question as the fa jones back is quite unique. But it seems many reps, even those that are very accurate have flaws, wrong hands, wrong markings on subdial etc. In your experience do the reps improve over time? And I guess a related question. How long do reps stay in production? Bottom line, if I think I like a watch but would like some portion of it to be more accurate, should I buy it now, because it may not be available later or should I just wait for the next model to come out?
  10. River Just posted a gold version, I think I might go for that-- I'm not a big gold fan, but I think on the fa Jones it ads a nice detail, without being over the top bling.
  11. Looks like trusty's tag has them too!trusty's tag
  12. check it out looks like the new asian 7750 in the Ayrton Senna Tag. Pictures of other tags look like old model but perhaps current inventory has changed. Am I right is this the new 7750?Josh's tag
  13. Thanks guys, sometimes its hard to find out what the gen name is. By the way andrew says his case is 48mm.
  14. Hi all, I noticed this AP on trusty's site. I checked the ap website and didn't see any chronos with the ?guards? on the crown and crono buttons (I obviously don't know what they are called). Here's the link, I couldn't figure how to post pictures sorry. http://www.trustytime.com/index.php?main_p...&products_id=54 what about the back is that ok? thanks experts!
  15. FUNNY YOU SHOULD ASK I've spent the last few days trying to figure out if any of the three main sellers on ebay had a decent product. Here are the three main sellers. abexpress211 40 leather 49wood+45ship+3ins = $88-97 My Webpage gadgetbestbuy .99 +45ship +5 ins = $51 My Webpage ctideals approx 70 + 45 ship = $115 My Webpage first the ctideals winders seem to get bid up, if you look at completed sales, prices without shipping range from $42 to $102.5 the last four have gone for over $90 plus shipping. I thought I saved the information from both gadget and cti, but I can't find it on this computer, it may be on another computer so I will check later. Between cti and gadget as I recall one told me the winding was 5minutes one way, rest 5minutes, than 5 minutes other way. This seemed like too much winding to me. I think that was the 99cent one but am not sure. The other told me they were lucern watchwinder (I think this was the CTI winder)link for lucernMy Webpage I couldn't find any information pro or con on this one. Finally, the one I bought (which I have not yet received) is the ABexpress one. I corresponded with two people who where happy with them and said they were quiet. There was also a very positive review on timezone from somebody who also had some very expensive winders. I also corresponded with that guy and he thought for the money it was a great deal. Also the ABexpress model says it has a 1 year warranty for whatever that is worth. Returns for all are a joke (they won't refund shipping) so you are pretty much taking a risk. I'll post a review on mine after I have tried it out. Good luck
  16. Thanks Everyone, I'm surprised that I wasn't told a hundred different models (figuring everyone has their favorite). So it seems that the 111h and 177h got the most votes. Now can you tell me why you recommended those? Are they the most accurate reps? Are they a classic? Or are they just the most popular? Again I apologize but they all look fairly similar to me. thanks again for the response, it is very helpful for us newbies.
  17. I've been around for awhile bought several watches from EL, and loving it. I realize this is blasphemous but all the PAMS look pretty much alike to me. A lot of you love these watches so I guess I ought to buy one and see if I get hooked. I like my watches to be accurate reps so I'm wondering, especially for a virgin PAM owner which one you might recommend and which dealer if they have different stock. thanks Please don't flame me-- I think this is a legitimate question--
  18. Guess trusty noticed this too- he dropped his price to 218 (this week only).
  19. I think this thread speaks for itself. This was the whole point of putting a list together.-- a verified list perhaps with pictures-- there seems to be more confusion and misinformation than fact. Personally, based on The Zigmeister's comments I would like to have watches with the new movement. The daytonas are out because to the seconds at 6 problem. IWC's just don't do it for me. Beyond that I haven't seen anything in all the posts that I have found that the movement is in any other watch. So as I started off this post--- it would be nice to have a list.
  20. I too liked the looks of this watch and was thinking about buying it. But somewhere I read a review that said the alarm sounded bad and that the movement was not good. I'm sorry I can't remember where I read the review. But I got the impression it was pretty face, junk interior.
  21. VC Chrono and A lange Chrono from Ed. Ordered and waiting.
  22. Rolexman, I'm sorry you are offended by my question. Perhaps I am the only one that isn't clear on which watches do have the new movement. And yes I already looked at the link you referred. If you look at that link you will see that you mentioned three watches as of march 27 others seem confused as one member mentioned 7750 b1, which was pointed out as incorrect. Another couple of posters couldn't quite tell without others looking at the pictures. And others wanted to know if the Omega broad arrow had this movement. So almost two months has past since your last post it would seem to me possible that a few more watches would have this movement. Further, not all web sites provide a clear enough picture of the back to determine what movment it has. I thought it might be convenient for all members to look at a link to see which watches have this new movement instead of having to sort through all the websites and pictures and try and determine who has what. I thought this was valuable information as according to The Zigmeister it is a substantial improvement. For those that don't know Rolexman previosly indicated that the followin had the new movement: - Tag Heuer Link Chronograph (SilixPrime) - IWC GTS - Rolex Daytona with runnig secs @ 6 Finally, if you are so offended by my question, why don't you just ignore it and read something else. Not all of us are as knowledgeable or briallant as you seem to be. Regards
  23. Great looking watch, but I'm afraid fantasy all the way.
  24. Hey Rolexman, the reason I started this is it seems a lot of people think a 7750b1 is the new 7750-- Also if you look over at The Zigmeister's Q&A there are several posts on people asking does this or that watch have the new 7750. Finally, it isn't clear on some dealer websites whether a watch has the new or old 7750. So flame away, perhaps I am clueless (quite possible) but according to The Zigmeister there were just a couple of models with the new movement. I would expect that as production moves along that perhaps more models would change over to the new movment.
