  1. the 40mm models are not ~that popular cause panerai is all about it's gigantic size..

the only 44mm marina reps available are the 48, 49, 50, 51 and the blue dialed 119 and 120..

chronos are the 60 flyback and the 2003 regatta chrono..

there was a 40mm power reserve model if i remember correctly...not too sure..

  2. the date change button is function and the mag is, well, a lil too much for me... :) there's an additional magnifyer on the movement as well, so with the 6mm cyclops over it, the date appears to be a tad too magnified compared with the gen..

  3. well, now that all of you got yours....when will I get mine?!!!

EL shipped mine yesterday...and i will get it in 7-10 days....

with all the great pics i've seen of it cannot wait to get mine...

this is absolutely a winner piece...wear it well, cause i will definitely do so with mine....i think that soon will become my fav PAM...

    BTW...nice pics...

    you are wearing a leather jacket...where do you live...in Alaska?...here in Croatia...nice weather...warm...sunny....

u will not regret buying that watch! :) it is chunky, simple, understated and comes with a useful PR complication...the dial is gorgeos as well...and on top of that, u get an in-house movement! no worries about the asian 7750..time will tell if the asian movement is good...

i'm singaporean but studying in south australia now, weather is cool at 10 degC..wearing the leather jacket cause i looooove leather! i've 3 leather jackets (no venni, i will NOT sell them to u..) which i wear in rotation..

  4. hey guys, just received my 222 from EL, outstanding watch, i must say!

case shape - chunky! the bezel is thicker than a historic model, similar to a daylight. it has the date button at 8'.

case finish - impeccable! the brushed finish is amazing! nice and even.

crystal - saphire, non ar-coated. 6mm cyclops over the date window. additional cyclops over the date window on the movement.

crown - standard 2mm crown with 45 degree bevel..looks alright...

movement - asian automatic. looks great, works great and feels great!

dial - absolutely gorgeous! great lume on the hands and the round markers, not so great lume on the 12 and 6..but that doesn't bother me...

case back - WOW! the engraving is nice and crisp. the finishing is brushed with a very nice lusture to it.

overall - great watch for a reasonable price provided that the asian auto doesn't fail me..hey, at least i can say my watch has an inhouse movement!! :) the date button at 8 doesn't bother me cause it's integrated flawlessly into the case design. it's not as if there's a huge button sticking out of the case or a big gaping hole at the side of the case for u to insert a toothpick to change the date..who cares if the original doesn't have that button? there're 500 genuines and 20 reps, who will even bother?! the watch is thick and chunky, wears similar to a daylight/submersible but looks as classy as a 177..
