I've just had a look at the white dial EXPL II on Eurotimez new site.
The dial looks quite good to me on the photo's, i.e. the outside of the hour markers look to be almost black and not silver like some of the other versions.
By-Tor, what do you think?

Today, Skyland Avenger, black dial

Looks like Chris is nearing completion of his new site.
Looking good!

Genuine on the left in all pictures
Is it just me, or my monitor, but does the lume at 9 on the gen look a bit misaligned?
Great review, by the way, the yellow dial is also on my wishlist.

I would think this will become very true freddy, and probably links up with this other post:

More watchsmiths might become willing to reduce their charges to get the work in.
The only danger is that if they become really desperate some of the more unscrupulous ones might attempt to take on jobs they can't handle

I think these are awesome.
I fancy the white dial, but that one is fantastic too.
Nice pics as well!
Hope you enjoy it.

Hi djdante,
Have you looked at the Skyland or the new Seawolf, again one's a chrono and one's not, but they are both very good reps.
I've had my Skyland for 6 months and the A7750 hasn't given me any problems at all up till now.
It was running way too fast when I got it (gaining 14 secs an hour) so I got it regulated at a local watchsmith. It now loses 5-10 seconds a day.
I don't really use the chrono's at all, but if you do go for any rep with a 7750 read The Zigmeisterzumba's user guide, if you haven't already!
Whichever one you decide on, enjoy it and let's see some pics!!

AC/DC, For those about to rock tour, Glasgow Apollo, 1979 or 1980.
I remember my ears ringing as I was running down Renfield Street to catch the last train home from Glasgow Central Station.

i'm looking for help tracking down a good Panerai Tantalium chrono rep (PAM 192). Does anyone know of a dealer who still has them in stock? Or a member selling one?
thanks amn
Welcome to the forum amn.
Check out the list of recognised dealers and have alook at what they sell. You might need to send them an email to find out what they have in stock.

Just saw a report on this on TV.
Horrific, especially if it's arson.
I hope your relatives are ok and as Shundi said, stay safe.

I know I'm a new guy here, so I hope you don't mind me throwing in a congratulations and a bit of advice. Never sweat the small stuff. so often many of us find ourselves getting caught up in obsessing over things that don't really matter, that we forget to appreciate the big picture. You've made a decision that has changed your life 1,3,5,10,20,50 years from now! We don't find a connection with someone else and make a decision like that without a reason. Use that reason to help you through those times that you may feel like running out the door and wanting to live in a cabin in the middle of nowhere.... OK, maybe that's just me.
I've been married over 18 years and wouldn't change a thing. The one thing I've learned is that you can always learn from any mistake. Since I wasn't born perfect, I'm always grateful for having made and learned from a mistake. Together you'll be more than you could ever be on your own- and people that don't believe that are too selfish to understand or experience it.
Cheers to you and your Bride!
Andrew
You've hit the nail right on the head here mate.
15th Anniversary for us this August and I totally agree with everything you said.
Sure, my wife and I have had some real belters of arguments over the years, but we've always managed to sort it out.
It is still quite simply the best thing I've ever done in my life.
Congratulations to you and your wife TeeJay. I wish you both many, many years of happiness together.

Doesn't do anything for me.
Reminds me of a plastic 5 quid quartz job that you'd get a kid as a stocking filler at christmas!
But, then again, I don't like any of the Pro-Hunter Rollies either!

I've sometimes wondered what it would be like to really save a person's life.
This guy literally saved hundreds, all at the same time.
If any young kids out there are looking for a real hero, they don't need to look any further than this!

No probs either way as long as its square!
And on the level!
-
Unfortunately, my WBA is being controlled by the dollar/sterling exchange rate at the moment
-
Urghhh!
Me no like either!

I assume the police will collect all the destroyed cars and sell them for scrap to make up the revenue they will have lost by not imposing fines!!
-
Class!
-
WAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!
Gimme, gimme, gimme!!
The black rubber and the yellow dial is a great combo.
I wish you good health to wear it.
-
Just wondered who you both got your UPO's from?
-
I have a gen datejust with a tapestry face, which I have been wearing every day since March 1993.
I have a friend who has a TT Sub and reckons he's a watch enthusiast, so I wondered what he would think of my Skyland Avenger rep.
I asked him if he'd like to see my new "toy" and he asked if I would take it off so he could have a good look.
He studied it really closely for a few minutes, all over the front, the back, the bracelet, everything.
His comment was "Now that's what I call a MAN's watch. How much did that cost?"
I said "Too much!"
Considering the lume dot at 4 is way off on my rep and he didn't even spot it, I thought "What the hell! I didn't tell him any lies!
-
Four or five months ago the British pound was worth about 2 US dollars and now it's only worth about 1.5-1.6.
This means that a $400 rep now costs
-
I felt the same when I got my Skyland.
I was totally paranoid about the dodgy lume, but to be honest, no-one has noticed, even under close scrutiny!

How do you enter the Eurotimez site? The catalog and dictionary sites are empty.
The site is very slow to load, but once it does you need to use the links on the left.
If you don't see what you want on the site contact Chris and give him a description of what you're after.
He'll reply with a price and availability.
Sometimes I'm just disgusted...
