1600 is a great price for a gen Discovery. Personaly I'd go for it. That's a lot of watch for the money.

Yep, that would be a ST19. One very nice and bullet proof MVT. Should go straight into a Pam chrono case. If it had an auto in it you may need a new MVT retaining ring tho.

And that little etching is suposed to stop what exactly? All it does is make gen owners feel a little more secure as most have NFI how good/close reps realy are, that's all.

Well the best of the CN ETA clones (DG, Sea-Gull et al) have most parts interchangble with the gen so that fixes that problem. The MVTs themselvs are for all intents and purposes just as reliable as the Swiss origenal at a fraction of the price so that's the route I'd be going.

No, 2813 is low beat (tho not a POC IMO) the high beat DG is the 38xx series. Should be a straight swap.

The replica of the TAG Heuer Formula One Chronograph as well as the Indy use the same ETA Quartz movement as the gen. I checked

The most expensive Quartz replica must be the Porsche Doppelchronograph, supposedly with the genuine split-chronograph ETA-movement, at more than 300USD. Have not seen any review.

Even the battery in the Tag is the same as the Gen.

The Porsche must use the same MVT if the dbl chronas work.
