  1. Yep, Dr Who and Tourchwood should be to your likeing. There's a Pommy show called "Teachers" that I think you would enjoy.

Anyone see the first episode of "Summer Hights High" on cable last weekend? It's an Aussie mockumentery and very funny. I don't know how well it will translate to an American audiance and I'd love to hear nack if anyone caught it. If you didn't, do yourself a favor and catch up.

More info HERE It's camp. it's crass but it's funny.

The ABC has a lot of programing available for DL. Some may not be available OS but the ABC made ones should be. I recomend Navy Divers, a doco series on the subject and a funny sitcom called Very Small Business for starters. Enjoy.

  2. Yep, I'd most definiatly do that. No problems. She may be a dangerous fool but she's a sexy dangerous fool! That B&W is a good shot. The poolside one definiatly shows a fun streak. I'mm shure there's storys somewhere the papers havn't found yet. Sara the person I could get on with, Sara the VP scared the [censored] out of me.

Hillery on the other hand . . . Ugh! Did you have to? I'll have nightmares now.

  3. Very funny john.

    Onz : DiaStar

Mary having PP troubles so that stufs that for me untill it's fixed. Looks like Watch Eden gets a Diastar sale. Now who knows who will find me a quartz Navi to my specs and has fast EMS shipping? Should be available round 80 to 90 bucks. I don't feel like waiting for PP to sort themselvs out. Could be weeks.

  4. I do. A jubilie for me please. I just got a ceramic and all black thing. Waiting to hear back from Mary on prices on that and a Navi. I've seen the Rado for not much more than a c note with a 21J in it but I think I'd prefer quartz in this one. There's no second hand to worry about and it won't rattle.

  5. 'Cause John likes life in the fast lane. It's all to easy with the aforementioned dealers.

Nice watch mate. I thought it was gold too. Needs a rubber strap. A few of there Breits are begining to grow on me, particualy the steel fish and the herritage.

  6. No, Luthier she doesn't make watches but she IS suposed to chk them on dispatch and I don't know how this got missed if she did indeed hold it in her hands. I'm not glossing it over. Its rather noticable after all. It is a bad screwup but one I'm willing to forgive as long as she treats it as a learning experiance and it doesn't happen again. Mary will learn what we expect from a good dealer , these things take time and patiance but to say "not her fault" is a bit of a streach.

I'm not doing all this, using my time and money to try out a new dealer just to get her bussines but to get the forum a new dealer who they can trust. I can't do that by glossing over problems. If it works all sides will be winners.

  7. Great to see everyone is geting their stuff back. Dani did you call off the troops? Seems they won't be needed. It realy had come to that mind you.

I think people realy do pass at posting negitive stuff ref dealers due to backlash from other members. Look at the first pages of this thread. While the OP dodn't catch any real harsh coment he was told in no uncertain terms that "there could be no problem, it's Jakub!"

As long as the poster is calm and reasonable in explaining his grievence and has made some atempt to sort it out (either contacting or atempting to contact the collector/modder) he should have our ear untill the other side has responded. All our collectors ect should be here often enough to see the thread if it's in the right place or somone can PM the one involved. People with petty grumbles and unwarrented concerns should be told so politly.

There is, I'm told, a place where some collectors are almost untouchable and anyone complaining about them is in for a bad day. I don't go there and thankfully I could never see that happening here but people must be encouraged to come foward with tales of woe as well as with glowing reviews when things go right. Maybe, if folk had done so in this case this may have been nipped in the bud. And for that to happen they must feel OK about doing so.

    My 2c worth.

  8. Oke, the origenal post was a while ago.

    "QUOTE (Chancellor;476878)

Underhanded I realize, But, you have to understand, 'trailboss99' was already in on it. That makes it OK. Full disclosure may only be one Aussie deep. Grahman was busy."

To sound a bit like Onz pushed beond his grasp of the english language: Can some tell me what going on? Please?

I gather I was suposed to be "in" on somthing. But I wasn't in. So even if peeps thought I was in no one told me I was in so I did not know I was in and not knowing you'r in actualy meens your out.

To advoid missing out buy not being in can somone fill me in about being in on whatever it is I'm in on or I'll be left out of being in.

    Got it?

    '

    Confused.

  9. Exactly Luthier, the bottom tier of reps arn't geting beter it's just that our dealers have replaced them with watches that were in the $150 plus price range, the old middle tier. The stuff we used to buy as cheapies is now being sold in Thai markets or shipped to Africa with the rest of the cr*p.

The next tier up has fallen to fill the middle tier gap. A SOSF even with a 21J would have cost you a cpl of cnotes plus a few mths back. Now $139 with a free watch and shipping! That actualy places one of the best reps ever made in the cheapies catergory. Shure, it prob has a mineral glass but you can fix that with a nicely ARd saphire one and still pay not much more than one without good AR last year! How much were these when they came out?

Specific models have allways got cheaper with age but not as dramaticly as this. I wonder who's cutting their margins the most?
