  1. The Daytona is still working perfectly and was a daily wearer for about a year but it has the seconds at 9 not 6. I have been swimming several times in this watch too.

I have source a brand new dial and new asian 7750 movement and I was intending to fit them soon. The case measures about 12mm in thickness although I just used a ruller so it could be out on that lol

  2. These are some old reps and I wondered if anyone could identify which ones they are, who made them, what the movements are and if they are any good?

I would appreciate your comments guys.

First up is a TT YachtMaster that is was bought about 4 years ago. It has a serial number Y863698 and a crappy looking movement.

Second watch up we have a Blue TT Sub serial number R863698 (which doesn't make sense as this would date it as a 1987/1988)

And finally we have an old Daytona that was bought in 2002, this has seconds at 9 but a post 2000 dial  it has the serial is K288343

  3. I first started collecting in 2002 and have bought some utter crap from scam sites and learnt lots of lessons the hard (and expensive) way, I only came accross this site about a week ago and wish I had known of this place a long time ago, I could have saved a fortune lol

As you will have noticed I am a Rolex fan (although I do have a few others)

All the boxes and accessories in the photo's are gen.

I hope you enjoy some of my photo's.

  4. Mine arrived today, :D ....but the bezel won't turn!! :o

Well it will, but only if I hold it very tightly with a cloth and try real hard, then it will turnfor 1/2 a turn before going really really stiff again. I sent an email at midday and a PM to PT but I am still awaiting his reply.

It is sat in all its plastic wrapping as I am hoping he will offer to exchange it, but it is torture as I wanted it on my wrist

The one thing I will say, the dial writing is much better in real life than the photo's show with a 'glossy shine' when cought in the light.

Here are couple of pic of it

  5. Hi guys,

I am looking for a little advice and wondered if you can tell which versions these are?

Basically I have 2 TT Blue subs and this is an old one that I bought back in 2005 and was a daily wearer for about 4 months before the crown/tube lost its threads and now needs a repair (I'm hoping to hear from a UK repairer out there). I bought it as a gen ETA 2836 movement but it looks like a clone to me?

My question with the TT sub is, do you know which version this looks like? and would you agree that it's a clone eta .....(and is ther a UK person that can offer a repair or wouldn't you bother)?

The next is a Daytona that was bought in 2002 (I think) which has the post 2000 dail but has the seconds at 9 and not 6 as it should. I understand this is an asian 7750 movement and the chrono works as it should. The problem with this is I wore it a lot and used to swim in this watch and as you can see the sun has bleached out the 'Daytona' lettering.

My question with this one, again do you have any idea's as to which version this is and should I replace the dail (maybe a pre 2000 dial so the seconds at 9 is correct), or just keep for parts in the future?

I would appreciate your opinions and advice guys

    Thanks

    Simon

  6. Thanks for the great review ByTor.

I have been wondering which to buy, the Euromariner or the Wm9 from PT but as I don't want to be doing much modding, so after reading your review I went for the Wm9 from PT and ordered it today.

One thing I would like to do is add a gen bezel insert (and maybe a gen crown) so could anyone point me in the right direction where I could purchase one in the UK or EU?

Cheers guys keep up the great work

  7. I think you will find there are a lot of UK members here and europeans, welcome to the forum

That's good to know then, cheers, I wish more people would put where they are from in the info.

I also joined RWI and the europeans are certainly out numbered on there and I noticed a lot of the same members on here too. Two great forums I have to say.

    Thanks for the welcome guys.

  8. Hi,

Watch fan here, got my first replicas in NYC in the early 90s (Rolex datejust, Rolex Submariner, etc..), then moved on to the"real thing", but am considering going back to that hobby for some Patek Replicas and am happy to find this place to discuss that ;-)

    Bill

    Welcome Bill,

Another UK member :) we seem a little on the ground here so it's good to hear of another.

I am also a new mwmber and I have to say, what a great site this is.

  9. Hi Guys,

I found this forum quite by accident but I am glad I did as it's a great site.

I have been collecting replicas on and off since 2002 and have bought some absolute junk in the past and I have also been fortunate enough to buy some great reps too, but now I have found this site I'm sure it's all good from now on :D

UK members seem a little thin on the ground but hopefully I will find more UK and European members once I start posting.

Anyway, keep up the great work guys and here are a couple of pics
