  2. Its been a while since my last post, but now I'm back :-) Good to see that you guys are still active. A lot of catching up to do I can see. Quick question. A screw has fallen out on my 1950. Any ideas where I might get one? I tried two local watch repair shops, but no luck. Regards Thor

  8. Thanks alot Ryyannon. We are three guys who would like a nice sit down meal at a good restaurant. One of my collegues is a great fan of fois gras, so we are having a dinner on sunday evening. But I dont think we should pay more than
  9. Wow, read a review, and Le Grand Vefour sounds great. But I want to keep my job, so I should at least half the price for dinner But thanks for all the great tips. I will read up on them. Not sure how to get to Maisons Lafitte, but probably taxi unless there is a train I can take? BTW, besides Le Grand Vefour, where can I find the best Fois Gras? Regards
  10. Thanks. Good to know its the right area to stay in.
  11. Hi guys, I am going to Paris on a business trip in the beginning of February. Its only for three days, but since its my first time in Paris, I want to stay somewhere close to everything - if possible My meeting are in Maisons-Laffitte, and as I understand, there is not much going on there. So I was thinking of maybe this hotel: http://www.regencia.com/index.html Its located at 41 avenue Marceau, so not far from the Champs Elysees. Is it an ok hotel or part of the city to stay in? Or would any of you recommend somewhere else? And if this is ok, do any of you recommend any restaurants close by? Preferably with a famous chef, or with a Michelin star or two Regards

Or if you go by The Economists list: http://money.cnn.com/2007/03/05/real_estat...ities/index.htm City Nation Index (New York is 100) Oslo Norway 134 Paris France 130 Copenhagen Denmark 126 London United Kingdom 125 Tokyo Japan 124 Osaka Japan 118 Reykjavic Iceland 118 Zurich Switzerland 118 Frankfurt Germany 116 Helsinki Finland 116 BTW, I live in Oslo, and getting by on €80K / year is not a problem.
  13. Hotel Gansevoort Rooftop stinks of puke.. I'd stay away, if your not into such things
  14. Not to steel the post, but Fedex is no better. My package with two watches from China was delivered to someone named Zoe in the UK on Monday, despite it being addressed to Norway. Even the fedex traking site says so. Called them, and they didn't have a clue why this happened. And still no feedback from them as to when I will receive it.
  15. Got myself 25, so guys, just stop the lottery now and hand it over Drawing is on my birthday, so I just know its gonna be mine.
  16. Swapped the screw from my Tag Link 7750 over to the IWC, and now the watch is working great It is so beautiful. I will try to take some pics over the weekend. Spending it at sea in the lovely fjords of Norway. The weather forecast is looking good too. Thanks to Andrew also for sending me a new screw for the missing one.
  17. I've had a good look, and unfortunately cant find anything
  18. Thanks for the tip. I will try that. Regards
  19. Hi Pugs. Thanks for quick reply. I opened up the case, and it seems that the screw which is to hold the rotor is completely missing. Checked the case and the movement and its gone. If anyone has a screw that will fit the movement which is in the 3717 I would of course pay for it and shipping to Norway. And would be very greatful Andrew has offered to send some screws, but that will probably take a while.
  20. Just got my IWC by DHL today, but to my disappointment, the rotor is loose. You can hear it scratching against the case back, and the power reserve isnt working unless you manually wind the watch. Any chance I can fix this myself? I dont have a watchsmith I can use, and I really dont want to ship it back to China
  21. What made you buy from them? http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...p;hl=hotreplica
