  1. I'm sorry if this is too much of a noob question but I've read so many topics and posts regarding pre-v cases that I've seemed to lost track of the big picture

If one were to make a 201/a or 202/a, would the following set be as accurate as possible with what's available? (and would the parts fit..)

    - getatwatch case (polished or pvd coated depending on the model)

    - FGD dial

    - LH cg

    - T crown

    - DSN caseback

    tnx for any input :good:

  2. If we can get the correct measurements from the case then it's actually not a bad idea, we have a great source for dials and crowns, if lh can make a new run of cg's then we're pretty much set. caseback would be somethings that has to be looked into. I don't know if the dsn is accurate enough if we're nitpicking ;) The other parts should be easily available... perhaps something for a group-buy? It's not gonna be a cheap watch though....

  3. Since I've just returned to rwg after a break of nearly 3 years (and yes; I have a lot of catching up to do ;)) I am for sure not the expert here but it might be an early DSN? If I remember correctly the first a/o second batch of dials did not have as thick a font as the later versions had. The font in this dial (while beautifull) should be a bit more "crooked" to look more like the gen dial (or to look like the FGD dial that really matches the gen ^_^) but again; i feel hardly like the expert so i will gladly stand corrected :pardon:

  4. I hope you don't mind me asking but what strap do you have on your 28? It looks really nice! Also the crown does seem to look pretty good, is it the DSN crown..?

tnx in advance for your reply

argh.. i feel silly; Siesta allready told me that it's a T48 customised to fit the 1.2 stem.. (how could i forget :bangin: ) but it looks great! congratz! :drinks:

  5. it's a rare tropical red sub (but I'm sure you allready knew this ;)

I believe this is the colection of a dutch watchcolector who also has a shop and he specialises in vintage watches, although he recently produced a very nice series of DLC dipsy's :)

Am I the only one here that's never seen a "rootbeer" RED Sub? :g: And yet there it is, next to the bottom, next to the right.

PS. it's nice to be back on this side of the forum after an abscence of a few years, although I doubt that anybody missed me :D I;ve noticed that I have a LOT of catching up to do ^_^ great to be back guys!
