i have some valjoux 72... no one of the best of these will be used to do a 6263 replica... but if i find a stand alone val.72 JLC movement .... why not ? more.... remember that valjoux 72 was not used only from the most important whatchmakers..... you can find also some ugly case with a val 72 into..... like these 170007574630 or 140007443384 i like very much vintage watches...... but i think that some of these can be used to do replicas... donor watches are not all the val 72 watches...

so every people who don't want to destroy a "donor" watch can think to do a 6263 let see this ebay item 170007578498

an ebel refinished mov. for less than $900... you are a luky boy.... to find a movado or an early zenith you need about 1000 but an ebel.... you are exaggerated.... it's a very beatifull movement.... next my project could be this... or a milgauss... i'm looking for a good start to do a milgauss any one can give me a suggest?

i have bought datron only cause i like it as is .... i didn't mind to to do a "modern" daytona auto with zenit/movado mov. 6263 is another thing it's not so "cheap".... ahahahahah i like more the datron i have than a daytona auto M

val 72 series with gmt is valjoux 729 ... wittnauer has done a lot of these... to do my 6263 clone i have used a simply valjoux 726 taken from a roamer stingray .... not a so beatifull watch i like very much '70 watch and i know them quite well ... mechanical , led , tuning fork , quartz ... val 72 as many other important caliber comes from '70 the photo of my avatar is my movado datron ... same calibre of el primero ....chrono auto with 36000 beat i have many omega (one of my preferred is a 1976 chrono seamaster with a 1040 cal.) ...many zenith... and others... but a genuine 6263 cost too many for me...so roamer was killed...

the overall condition of this movement are not good... but i think it's genuine at 90% ...probably some parts come from a not rolex movement used like spare part... but you must think that to have a this movement to start a rep. it's different to start using a non rolex movement... at the end you must only find a good serial number for the case.... for the part you are telling i'm agree.... see this photo ...it's a genuine one....

sorry but don't seems to have a microstella balance ... rolex cal. 722 and 727 have Breguet Overcoil & MicroStella Balance ... it was an only rolex mod. see some photo and details here http://www.forumfree.net/?t=2187555
