  1. There are 3 black hats and 2 white hats. You and two others each have one of the 5 hats. You can all see what colour hats the others are wearing, but not your own. Everyone wants to be the first to work out the colour of their own hat. You can see one of them is wearing a black hat and the other a white hat.

How can you tell what colour yours is? :yeah:

  2. Well if you ever need to induce narcolepsy the question is there. :yeah:

    Try this for size:

A woman carefully steers with her pedal to the metal. She has covered the length of a football field while leaving a neat row of tracks behind her. Yet after the last yard, when she stands up, she's in the place where she began. Even though she didn't go in a circle or turn back, this is normal for her. What has just happened?

She does not move anywhere but is struck at the sawing machine.

The other problem really messed up my head. :yucky: :black_eye:

I've spent hours and finally came up with these.

DAD BED DEDA BAD BAD BABE

  3. Ann purchased a house for $ 161072. She wants to sell it for a profit of exactly 11%. However, she does not want to sell it herself. She wants a Real Estate Agent to sell it for her. The Agent must make a commission of exactly 5.9% (in addition to Ann's 11% profit). How much must the Agent sell the house for? Give your answer to the nearest dollar.

If the agent wants 5.9% on top of everything including Ann's 11% profit, the the selling is $189339.

  4. I don´t know if this is the right answer, but I´ll keep this game up with some new questions... ;)

Picture three boxes containing fruit. The first box is marked "cherries", the second box is marked "bananas", and the third box is marked "cherries and bananas". Each of the boxes is labeled incorrectly. How could you label each box correctly if you were allowed to select only one fruit from one of the boxes?

Basis: All boxes are incorrectly labeled.

Pick a fruit from the 3rd box labeled Cherries and Bananas.

    - if the fruit is cherry, then this box is Cherries. The Bananas labeld (2nd) box is Cherries and Bananas. The Cherries labeled (1st) box is Bananas.

    - If you get banana, then this box is Bananas. The Cherries labeled (1st) is Cherries and Bananas. The Bananas labeled (2nd) is Cherries.

  5. Captain Frank was passing through a small town whn he decided to get a haircut. There was only one barber shop in town, and it employed two barbers. One of the barbers had a nice, neatly trimmed head of hair, and the other looked like it had been cut with a pair of hedge clippers. Which of the two barbers should Captain Frank choose and why? :victory:

Take the one with bad haircut since he was the one who cut for the other barber with good haircut.

On the other hand, if it was so bad, he might be better off cutting his owns using mirror. :bleh:

  6. Pugwash bought a door to fit in a door frame. The door was too large, so using his Power Door Trimmer, he cut off a piece. He found it was too small. So he cut off another piece. Being a Master Craftsman, he cut pieces only off the length of the door. The width and thickness remained the same, and he did not cut the frame. This time the door fitted perfectly. How come?

  7. The Amazing Kev, the famous magician, was bragging about his markmanship. He claimed to be able to hang up his hat, walk 50m blindfolded, then turn and shoot a bullet right through his hat. Since The Amazing Kev could not see through his blindfold, how could he manage this feat? :o

  8. Pack of wolves will do it for me! WINNER!! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Sorry - a long time between rubbish questions - work, work, work.... :black_eye:

There are two airplanes heading straight toward each other. One plane is travelling at 15 km per minute, and the other is travelling at 10 km per minute. Assuming that the planes are exactly 1000 km apart, what distance will be between them one minute before they meet?

    25 km

  9. I have searched long and hard for the question which will wind you up the most ;)

A well known fashion designer wanted to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city. She decided to spend a few days at a rural resort. Feeling like some fresh air after a day of reading and relaxing she decided to go for a winter stroll. That was the last time anyone saw her alive. The autopsy revealed that death was due to the pack she had on her back. What was so deadly about this pack? :o

  10. This was one of the toughest questions so far, I've had it up my sleeve for over a week. ;)

But there can only be one winner - and it is VICTORY @ PUGWASH :thumbsupsmileyanim:

That's not just for the correct answer, but also the best explanation.

    Using his 10cl cup:

    JUG 1 = 100 cl milk JUG 2 = 100 cl SANGRIA

The cup of Sangria is put into the milk

    JUG 1 = 100 cl milk, 10 cl sangria JUG 2 = 90 cl of Sangria

The cup from Jug 1 is 10/11 milk, 1/11 sangria. So we deduct that from jug 1, and add it to jug 2

    JUG 1 = 90.91 cl milk, 9.091 cl sangria JUG 2 = 90.91 cl sangria, 9.091 cl milk

    B)

That is a good one, Pugwash :thumbsupsmileyanim: .

  11. WINNER!! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

That wasn't an easy one, so kudos! I think the time he saves going faster downstream doesn't compensate for the extra time he spent going slower upstream.

Picture a litre of milk and a litre of Sangria. A cup of Sangria is poured into the milk and mixed thoroughly. Then, a cup of this mixture is poured back into the Sangria. Is the amount of Sangria now in the milk more, less, or the same as the amount of milk in Sangria? :g:

It's got to be Sangria. The first cup is a distraction. In the end, you poured ONE cup of the mixture into the Sangria.

    :victory:

  12. Your question, you award the winner!!

When I first read that question I started totting up rounds, until I realised that it was matches.

Today is red day, obviously :animal_rooster:

Suppose there is a river that has no current. Buck Shot got into his canoe and paddled upstream from his dock to the river's bend five km away. At that point he turned around and paddled back to his dock. He checked his watch and saw that the trip took 40 minutes. Now, suppose the river has a current of two km per hour, and Buck makes exactly the same trip. With the river flowing at two km per hour, will the trip be longer than 40 minutes, shorter than 40 minutes, or will it take the same amount of time? :brow:

Longer. Total time is 40 min 43.891 sec measured by $50 SEIKO Chrono Quartz. :whistling:

  13. ...and the famous Pugwash does it again...

    :thumbsupsmileyanim: CORRECT ANSWER :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Since Mr. Smith was born and raised in the U.S., he would not have spelled the words "HONOUR", "CENTRE", and "COLOUR" as they appeared in the note, since this is the British way of spelling these words. An American would have written: "HONOR", "CENTER", and "COLOR".

Mmmhhh, where is the quizmaster ???

Until he comes back one more from me...

Mr. Becker volunteered to be the chief organizer for the world's table tennis championships. There were 775 contestants from all over the world. The tournament was set up whereby the winner would advance and the loser would be eliminated. Since there was an odd number of participants, the initial pairing leaves one player out. That player gets a bye and automatically advances to the next round. How many matches will Mr. Becker have to schedule to determine the table tennis champion?

    774

  14. This is a very good idea but not the correct answer that I am searching for. At least he has not a scale for persons and concerning that he throws the bags after each other he would have made ten weighings.

The same for Ken. Lifting up the bags one at a time would be also ten weighings only without the scale...

    So. TRY AGAIN... :bleh:

Put all bags on the scale. John surely can not put all 10 bags at once on the scale but one by one. By observing the weight change (400gm for the fake), John can detect the bad one.

  15. Brian and Bert are quite obviously bastards

    Ken :D

Well give it a little twist.

Sam and Sid are standing outside of the fence in which the orange grove are. So it is not the problem to reach up but to reach over the fence. In this case, it will not any difference. :g:
