  1. besides you cant return the watch if anything is wrong. I guess he will be accepting 10k euros for this.
  2. considering its a secondhand watch and the poor picture quality the movement regarding the jewels its a pass for me. you could easily get a brand spankling new fiddy for about 15k pounds 16k euros. bearing this in mind this is definately not tempting. did you point this watch in the forum by thinking there is something wrong with this ?
  3. DSN is the way to go. But I have heard that he might have a slightly different case which might not be compatible with other cartel parts. Beside of this its pretty good. My suggestion is to get a DSN and buy a little hero dial and crownguard. The lume of DSN and hands are outstanding for an out of the box rep. I unfortunately have not ever had any experience with Puretime so I cant ghelp uyou for this instance. Maybe you shud also check out he website from paul www.pam111.com which is good to show you which versions there are on the market.
  4. HI noob , as far as I know it is not required to upgrade your membership in order to sell your watches. Though you wud need to donated 10% of your proceeds to RWG as a minimum. In other words you do not need to donate in advance. Once you sold your watch the donnation you send will automatically upgrade grade your status assuming your sale is worth more than 100 bucks of course. good luck
  5. I have never seen anyone used a real tourbillion movement in a PAM case. Just impagine that wud wit into a fiddy style casing. anyone here capable to do the movement swap? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380135669607
  6. Thx for uploading some nice pic of your mm20. Since there are so many variants of a gen mm20 (3-4)I just wonder if it does make sense to buy a real one bearing in mind you cud get a similar watch with exactly the same movement such as the highly finished DSN mm20 which cost less than 600usd with a really nice strap and buckle plus you dont need to worry about the canon pin issue. But still its a nice watch. Wear it well.
  7. wud be nice if you guys can post a picture of the difference between Vendome and preV.
  8. Due to high demand. in fact not one request I decided to keep it. I just cant belive no one is interested in a ceap DSN. The watch is in perfect working order. Only issue are the hands. But no matter how I will keep it. thx for reading anyways
  9. lol. As I said earlier I am still a Pam noobie. But once my watch tools have arrived I will learn and experiment to open and repair some dial issue on my own. BTW any recommendation on how to make your dial look rusty (vintage)?
  10. its actually a DSN mm20. Tanya told me that reluming cud cost between 150-200 usd so considering this a Davidsen watch is not that expensive. Use the search feature and do some research you will be amazed. It is said that the C3 mixture offers the brightest lume as seen on my avatar. but you can also opt for a vintage look or simply white lume. BTW, how to you like the BIG EN........ cant spell
  11. 240 usd incl. insured shipping. Pls dont be offended but I dont ship to Italy and Africa due to higher risk. Also bear in mind you will save 210 usd (190+20 usd WU fees)compared to buying from DSN directly
  12. ouch! sorry to hear that you have to pay an extra 50 pounds on a watch that is not even properly working. As said you shud open the Cg lever first and then try to pull out the stem. Shud it not work you can send this to a reliable watchsmith who is located in Germany. Here is the link Hope it all goes well P.S. Next time you shud ask the seller to put in the dription watch to repair. Then they wont charge you any customs. Unfortunately, I have to share this experience but I have to pay 25 pouhnds on a watch worth 110 usd. Its like a rip off ;(
  13. hey, not sure if you got the link to davidsens watch collection but here is a link to a watch that I think might suit you. Bear in mind its a unique replica that is only offered by DSN as far as I know. Besides you might have the stature to wear it. http://s40.photobucket.com/albums/e230/watchmmx/The%20Big%20Engizianos/ ENJOY!
  14. just compare yours with my dsn movement. its 100% the same.
  15. are you sure that this is a gen mm20? this looks pretty much similar to my dsn mm20 that i got for sale. your dials seems darker and better tho. If yours is a gen mm20 I wud be pretty frustrated since I already saw 3 different movement designs on all who claims it to be a gen mm20. BTW my dsn go exactly the same movement. Who did you get this from and for how much?
  16. welcome to the pam world. I am a relatively newbie as well. As a starter I bought a DSN mm20 which is a really nice watch with good overall quality. DSN are invaluable since as a newbie you do not want to do any modding work such as fitting the canon pin and reluming. As said earlier the choice it is a matter of taste. Personally, I wud recommend you to go for the PAM127 which is in my opinion the best looking PAM but it has also a monster presence on your wirst being a 47mm watch. If you like the design of the Fiddy but think it is too big then you might want to go for the pam111. Again there are many choices of movement designs like the H or the E (full panerai engravings on the movement). Here some nice pictures from a fellow member Samurai However, if you do not want to wear a replication you can always go for one without branding such as the davidsen mm20. Bear in mind he has two versions awailable. One with a domed sapphire (more fiddy like)and the other with a flatter more gen like mm20 but the drawback is the improper fittment of the Crownguard and casing. If you have decided to pay a DSN I wud recommend you to go for a manual swiss unitas eta movement. But again some say asian clones uses better components and are cheaper and as realiable. Go and check out the movement revieves in the homepage. I can only say thatg you wont regret to buy any of DSN watches. MY other DREAM DAVIDSEN is a daetro MM20 in PVD with vintage lume. Good luck
  17. Davidsen is using Superluminova on his watches. the drawback is that the brightness won't last more than a minute on mine. I have read that the best lumina is trinitec which is also used in OEM Panerai. Please correct me if I am wrong. Besides I have already registered on repgeek 2 days ago but still cant log in even after proper registration and activation. It says I am not authorized to access the pages? I have send the them a message but still have not received any response. is there any other means to contact Rex. and which watch specialist uses the best lumination which might last 2-3 mins? Does the quote 150 -200 usd includes the lumination of the hands too? that seems a bit steep.
  18. Not sure if I can ask in the thread how much trinitec relume will cost? I cantacted Vac but for some reason still have not received a feeback yet.
  19. who is V. I urgently need a new CG
  20. WOW sounds very good to me. If you plan to build your ultimate mm20 from scratch pls let me know your spec so I can copy from you of cos if you dont mind. OR I pay you in advance to build one for me. but may i ask you the budged we might need?
  21. or you might be interested in my DSN mm20? check it out in the pam section and pls give suggestion on where to buy a nice crownguard to fit the DSN case. There is quite a big gap which I am not happy with. I am eying for a vintage project but not sure where to get a nice vintage dial and new quality CG.
  22. well the mineralglas one on ebay is a good alternative plus its brand new and slightly cheaper than 1500usd. I just bought a very rare casio cosmophase for 250usd ))) am jolly happy so I let this gem pass
  23. lol may I ask how much you sold yours to Z?
