  1. you can still send paul from pam111.com a message. He is very responsive and nice to talk with. He confirmed to me that the ultimate fiddy he is selling is using a genuine swiss unitas eta and has 100% sapphire (not a synthetic or mineral one). he also claims that the picture is how the actual watch will look like so less probability of any dissatisfaction. I wondered if the ultimate from Josh/Andrew is the same Paul is offering? anyone got an idea?
  2. This has always been my question too. you might consider paul from pam111. they sell the ultimate 127 for 329usd only. But I have heard from many veterans here that dsn fiddy is in many aspects better than the ultimate. to start with better lume, best sapphire, best and most accurate hands. Bear in mind a good lume application wud be 150 usd. so if you want the best out of the box fiddy dsn is the way to go. There is no way to get a perfect fiddy anyways unless you can get hold of the infamous eddie lee first gen fiddy case. good luck
  3. who is twc? pls pm the contact details. do you know how good the quality is compared to the best SS ones?
  4. @ Drulee leave out anium from TITanium and you know why. I just noticed that
  5. I was referring to oxiclean but just cant remember the name . I think it was you who posted the pictures a few weeks ago which looks great. I thought it was a SS bracelet. Sorry for providing wrong information.
  6. like you I wanted a full [censored] bracelet but it is no longer awailable since it is costly to manfacture. you can still buy a full steel cracelet and treat it with chemicals to make it look like [censored]. just try the search feature. you will be amazed by the amount of information.
  7. thx message send and waiting reply
  8. \ does anyone got a price list of dsn pam models? pls send me a pm
  9. well yea. i simply find this movement very beautiful and since i really like pams i try to combine them together. but this wud require many mods and special parts to make it work which is out of my watch skills not that I got any . if you know a potential case that might fit pls let me know. as long as the watch case is chunky I am happy.
  10. i know its gonna be roughtly 4-5 times of my initial noobie quote. soo sad
  11. indeed. its currently on 444pounds but wont sell for less than 700 i suppose. really tempted but the whole project will cost around 1200 pounds upwards. hm... beside my sorrow is where to send this watch to service service in case i need it. I think is has the potential to be the best 203 rep so far. lets see i might change my mind and still gonna go for it but it will take me some time to recover and finish the project.
  12. I found the angelus which is used in the gen pam 203 check this link. I contacted the seller but i know that he has alrady got a very high offer from another ebayer so i guess i will have to pass on this one. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260473090540&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
  13. ok. is it possible to pm me the ebay link of the seller you got ur movement from. Might be able to contact him directly. I m still unsure you state that this movement is a sf 240 but which still look a bit different than to the PAM 203 abgelus. are there different designs of the same movement? I m not sure how to explain but your watch has one spare wheel more than the movement used in pam203. pls check out this link http://www.watchuwant.com/watches/panerai-pam-203-angelus-8-days-1950-8-giorni-brevettato-47mm
  14. wud be great if you could tell me the different variants of the angelus movement 240? 243? etc. is your movement the most desirable ANGELus? is this movement also been used in the pam 203? how much wud it cost to get one of those movements?
  15. I guess a special movement needs that many special treatments . Being a noobie I doubt I can handle such a project. are there any other rep cases where i can fit this beauty in without major work? in my opinion a pam only looks nice with the CG so I wud not be interested in any other cases as the luminor 47mm with CG. see merlins vintage project for reference.
  16. Any suggestion as of which panerai case wud be able to install this movement and with which dial? I am not sure if it will fit into a pam127 case since its been fitted in a 52mm pocket watch. Surely this is one of the most beautiful movement I have ever seen. any thoughts and comments welcome. http://cgi.ebay.com/52mm-Angelus-Split-Second-Chronograph-Rattrapante-Watch_W0QQitemZ360181759285QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPocket_Watches?hash=item53dc817d35&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
  17. you certainly got magic hands not only in buying those components but also melting them together. I am sooo jealous. BTW i checked through your gallery of schoene uhren. That one is really amazing. Would you be interested in a trade for a GEN gold rolex cellini with a proper 1600 mechanical movement unlike the modern quartz cellinis. I have just got it serviced for 250 pounds including invoice. Alternatively, can you pinpoint me where I might be able to find one of those movements.
  18. you got an absolute stunner there. Too bad that I cant tap into water buying those nice angelus movement due to the steep increase in movement prices. 4000 usd is way out of my budget. Your watch is an amazing piece espcially due to the 8 day power reserve which is much rarer than a conventional unitas eta. You must feel very proud to complete such an amazing project. Well done! A problem might arise when it comes to servicing such a complecated movement though. Would be interested to buy one off you should you decide to sell one in future time. Do you mind to tell us how much you have invested into this watch excluding labour of cos BTW where did you get this nice thick CG?
  19. I think you have not properly attached those pictures. I can see nothing but crosses.
  20. WOW! Considering its your first prototype it is amazing and a good looking strap too. Well done and keep up with your good work.
  21. thank you for providing me such a comprehensive tools list. will get back to you once my forthcoming project is completed.
  22. hi John, I think I found the ebayer you got your tools from. I wud appreciate if you could take the time to copy and paste the links of the items I require. I am a noob in terms of modding and dont know anything about the tools I need beside of opener and screwdriver Again thx for your inspiration.
  23. nice job! I wondered what sort of equipments I wud need to conduct such mods myself. Since I do not want to mess up with my high end reps maybe its good to start with cheaper ones as you did. where did you acquired all the tool e.g. screws, opener (47mm and 44mm) etc. I wud be very delighted if you could supply me the list of the equipment I need. Moreover, your blacked dial looks incredible cool but the downside is that you will not be able to lume them right? I am trying to build my mini fiddy too. I am going to use the following components: -jacksen tse mini fiddy case PVD edition (35usd) -Getatwatch hands lumed (black hands and white sec)(9usd) -Getatwatch asian movement PVD skeleton (49usd) -Getatwatch stealth dial (12usd) -strapculture legend black and heoric supmarine pvd buckle (90+55 usd) The only thing I dislike is the mineralglas. As seen in your pics it is prone to selfdestruction. I am trying to source a domed sapphire or might even opt for plexiglas. Any pointers as of where I could find those?
