  1. I dont know what you are talking about... can you further elaborate?
  2. I always said I was going to buy a gen 16610. But after seeing how far replica's have come, and seeing the qaulity vs. price in replicas, I refuse to ever buy a gen SS watch again. The only gen watch I will ever buy is going to be something with a precious metal (yellow gold, rose gold, platinum etc..). The replicas are just too damn good to spend on an SS gen
  3. What mods do you want to do? With some tools, most mods can be done at home all by yourself. That's why this hobby is great
  4. Wow freddy, I've never seen that Rolex before. You MUST take on the project and report to us everything you did! That looks like alot of fun
  5. Will a stilty ring fit a DG4813 or ETA Clone? Or will it only fit an eta 2836/2824 Thanks
  6. Would these hands fit an eta clone movement? http://cgi.ebay.com/WATCH-HAND-YATCHMASTER-FOR-ROLEX-OR-TUDOR-BLACK-PARTS_W0QQitemZ310087883960QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item4832ad9cb8&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
  7. same as the GMTiic case... too big for me imho
  8. I love that dial - its amazing. You should know however that the gen is made of platinum and the msrp is about $50,000
  9. My DJ with this dial is up for sale in the FOR SALE section...
  10. One of my favorite watches, looking to soon hopefully add this to my collection.. In my opinion, the bracelet can be swapped out with a good two tone aftermarket on the bay, using the same clasp. The same goes for the crown. One thing that really bugs me on this rep, is the god awful rehaut. I have a few gen rolexes - all with engraved rehaut, and trust me when I say this - the gmtiic's rehaut is horrible. It's painted, not engraved, and its not even symmetrical. The font is off too. Besides the rehaut, it seems to be an outstanding rep that i'll soon add one day
  11. You're missing the point. If the gen has lume, then the rep factories apply lume to the rep dials. If there is no lume on the gen models, then they do not apply lume.
  12. YEa, those CG's look a little overdone to me, but Kudos to you my friend. I am too chicken-sh*t to even try to do that. what did you use for the shaving?
  13. This has always plagued me. I, for the life of me, cannot install a watch back together simply because I magically get fingerprints or dust on the crystal. Many attempts with the dust blower and windex and it still gets in there! It's the most annoying thing to putting watches back together, after those tiny movement mount screws.
  14. Thats a cool looking vintage.. I like the riveted bracelet and old school clasp
  15. Will that add any weight?
  16. Is there anything I can do to make my SS DJ heavier? It seems so light compared to my gen... Is there like a plate or a disc that I can put on top of the movement in the case to add a few grams?
  17. Hey all, I'm looking for a dealer or a member that sells the older style Datejust models, as opposed to the newer ones that were introduced in 2005. (thinner and brushed lugs as opposed to the thicker and polished lugs). Anyone know where I can find one? Thanks - OLD CASE (the one I'm looking for) New case (NOT the one i'm looking for)
  18. What do you mean by"abrasive toothpaste"? Can I use regular colgate or whatever?
  19. Hey Guys, Got a couple of questions if you don't mind. I have the SSD v2, and am not sure if it's a mineral or real sapphire crystal. I put a very light hairline scratch on the crystal. Isn't sapphire supposed to be scratch proof? Is there anyway I can get the scratch removed? Is it maybe a mineral crystal? The watch was purchased from Trusty... Thanks guys
