I've seen these versions of the "America's Cup" and black SMP chrono replicas on several websites. I know the quality of this watch is very low, but the black SMP chrono is my favorite watch right now and I want a good replica. If anyone has any info on where to find one, please post or PM me, otherwise I'm buying the regular black SMP from a trustworthy dealer....
I havent seen a black version. The blue chrono is available, and is one of the most accurate reps out there.

That's the replica Breitling with replica diamonds If I was into the 'Bling' factor, this would be the one I'd choose. I couldnt handle haivng real diamonds on a replica watch!
-
Er, if they're following the Wal-Mart tactic, then their intention is not to make profit in the beginning, but to get rid of the smaller competition so in the long term they can charge what they like. It's Market-shaping at its best, and the consumer never wins.
I think you could be right Pug. This is taken from the Panerai section;
Hi ALL...Till today, most PANERAI reps with Dates arent good. Once look and someone will scream off his or her head calling it a REP.
This is going to change... There is a Maker who is going to change the Panerai rep industry with the long awaited Date Font and Cyclops.
NO PICTURES YET.... Soon to follow when I meet up my buddy, Joshua.
There will only be a few dealers with this great stuff, namely Joshua, me and Angus and King.
=)
Cheers

Hi Admin
Having 1000+ products on a webstore and needing to change everything is absolutely not a viable option. What I can best do is to put a Watch FAQ describing the terms I had used. In that way, I will think it will serve best purposes. Thanks!
Happy CNY... I am off for a break!
Andrew
Would it not be possbile to do it for the replicas that you advertise from now on?

Count me in for one!!

PS
There is a wealth of information in this sub-forum. Have a read through some of the posts, it is a very steep learning curve!
-
I think the Panerai could eventually become the new 'who has the best sub' question.
They are getting a big following now!
If you want quality rather than a 1:1 replica, have a look at Davidsens products. He offers the superlume, canon pin fixed, AR. They aren't a 1:1 case so modifying is a bit more limited because in general Davidsen parts only fit Davidsen watches. I have one of his watches and it is very very good!
-
No guts, no glory. At that price I would be inclined to simply add a $1,000 and buy the gen.
Very true. I could never justify spending that amount on a replica. Can pick up a second hand Planet ocean for that!
'Oh it's a replica Breitling........but the diamonds are real'
-
This is great news!
Yes we definitely need descriptions in light of the newest reps available.
AR coating should be listed if it is like the new BCE.
Precise origins of the movement so there are no mistakes or uncertainties.
1:1 - does it therefore accept genuine dial crown etc... (is the size of the case exact to the original)
In relation to lume, I think perhaps a lume shot after 40secs under a lamp so we can gauge for ourselves the brightness?

Welcome, collection is looking very good already! I like the IWC in particular!
-
Just keep him away from the Panerai's, he's not ready yet...
Il never forget my first!
Welcome to the board!!
-
Yes we do have good dealers with good products I just hope this isn't the beginning of wider price fixing.
Me too! I think this price is reasonable (just personally) but I must admit, I hope I am not being naive and giving the benefit of the doubt here!
I guess only time will tell!
-
Great choice! One of the best reps available!

What I find entertaining is that this same thread was taking place on RWI and even after THREE dealers posted, the thread was still moved to the looney bin. You know, the thread where the dealers admit to screwing us was seen as so insignificant that it was essentially chucked away.<BR>
Interesting, why would Admin do that ?Ok so they might be holding prices artificially high, but you have to remember this is business, they don't owe us anything. We are on this forum, putting input in to these watches because it's our hobby
I thought this forum was set up to protect watch collectors paying artificially high prices as advertised on other dealers sites and for us to share knowledge with one another so we could identify and obtain the best quality. Not provide a haven for dealers to get together and artificially set high prices to a fixed audience.
Maybe we haven't enough dealers and need some more to make it difficult for them to collude?
Or have I missed somehing?
On a personal note I did want to purchase the Superocean after purchasing the BCE but felt it was not worth the price.
Totally I couldn't agree more. It is a way of having an access to dealers who don't charge over the odds prices.
I consider scam sites to be charging artificially high prices. For $308, you couldn't even get a bad Submariner from half of them.
When I was talking about business, I meant in relation to the whole of their market. We are such a tiny minority of their sales. They can keep the price high by x amount because there are others who will buy this without a second thought.
If they lowered their prices they might sell a few more here, but having a bigger profit margin will pay dividends in the wider market.
I feel it is only because as a community we are so privileged to have access to a variety of good dealers, that this latest commotion has caused such a stir?

The more i look at it the harder it is to see!
Sometimes my Planet Ocean bezel doesnt align properly, where it is inbetween 'clicks'. Can you move the bezel around anti-clockwise a hair, without it clicking? This is what I have to do with my planet ocean sometimes.
It is really hard to tell what is slightly misaligned here though! (dial or bezel)
I really wouldnt have noticed it unless it was pointed out.

I recently removed a bracelet from a navitimer, I would imagine its pretty similar!
If you turn the watch face down, and take the spring bar out on the clasp, so the bracelet hangs in two pieces.
Then look down into the back of the endlink (link nearest the case), you'll see another spring bar run across inside there.
You should also notice that there is a small ridge on each end. If you get a tiny screw driver, and place it on the outside (closest to edge of the case) and pull inwards, it should 'spring' in. It will pop out of place, when it does move it a few mm away from the hole to stop it popping back in. Just do the same on the other side and that half of the bracelet will come away.
Then turn the watch around, and start on the opposite side of the watch, doing exactly the same.
Hope this is clear, bit hard to do with out photo aids

Best I've seen for a long time! A few things you could nit pick at, but that really is a great replica! A genuine dial in there would make all the difference! Wonder if a genuine bezel would fit
Like the owner says, it even has the red outlines on the 12o'clock subdial!!!
-
A large number of gens pass through airports that's for sure!
Last year i went to spain, and sat next to someone with a Breitling for Bentley. Black dial, very nice! Got chatting to him about watches, nice bloke, and very nice watch!!
-
i am going to start saving some money right now. What is comming, can you give us some hints?
A new Pam is on it's way, the Chopard Gran Turismo also.
I remember reading somewhere that a protoype for the Casino Royal Planet Ocean was going to emerge, anyone know if this is still in the pipeline? I really hope it is!
Then the IWC Aquatimer Costeau will be a few months from now hopefully!
What a year this will be for reps!!
-
Half the gens I see are warn by people who don't dress in an expensive looking way.
-
I concur. The main problem with the standard date fonts are the area they cover.
All Breitling date fonts cover the date window. The single digits are very big compared to the standard ETA font.
I doubt someone would notice the slightly different font in a Navitimer compared to an SA unless they had both genuines to compare them in close detail.
-
Originally I thought the new BCE, however, I forgot how attached to the SMP Chrono I am. It really is such a great watch!!
