About to order the classic blue Omega SMP, but I can't find very much recent info on the very latest reps coming out because everyone already has one! If anyone has purchased one in the last month or so could let me know who they went through and what flaws the watch had could let me know that would be awesome.
BTW, I'm not asking which dealer is best, I've already contacted several of them and they all seem great. Just wondering what reps are coming out of where.
Thanks.
Have a look at By-tors review of Omega's. It will have all the info that you require to find the best SMP.

It looks pretty good from the pics!
The gen PO has a recessed pearl, they main issue wth the pearls is that they sometimes don't sit level, or the glass sticks over the metal ridge.
To me that pearl looks spot on!

Isn't the BCE Swiss going at a nudge over $600? I would go with the Swiss for peace of mind.
-
What do you think this watch would look like on a original bret. rubber strap?
I think the rubber strap would look very good on this type of watch! It's what i plan to do when i get one.
I have seen the Avenger Seawolf with a rubber strap (gen watch) and the SO is a similar style. It would look very good!
-
Nice combo! The strap makes this watch look so much better in my opinion!
-
The straps that are provided are very good. I have a gen strap, and on comparing it with the rep one I was sent, I must say, for the money, it is definitely the best option for Breilting owners!

AR COATING:
•No
•Yes
oSingle side
oDouble sided
No = what is currently called 'light' AR at the moment
Single - Davidsen Pam's
Double - BCE

Great pictures. I don't have an IWC dealer around near me, so it's nice to see some shots of the gens!! That Aquatimer is beautiful!!
-
I have a PO 45 too, the only thing that bothers me now is that the pearl does not really glow, I wonder if there is a way to replace the pearl so it will glow as good as the Dial.
Cheers
Is it possible to drop a bit of lume onto it?
Looks good Andreww, wear it well!

I'm thinking of picking up a BCE...
White dial is the way to go then (as far as accuracy is concerned)?
It is indeed.
Looks really nice in the white too. Combine it with the brown strap, and you have a jaw droppingly good replica!

Have a good holiday!!!

unbelievable
At a guess I think Olreon wishes to do this so he can send it off to get a double AR coating applied

Eddie will be sadly missed! Although I never bought form him, I am well aware of the great service he provided to this and other forums.

There is a logic in that though. This is only one step so far. I would hate to see, maybe a year down the line the whole community closed!
If it were closed down on google and the like, our community would still expand through word of mouth!?
-
Looks great, especially on the strap!!!!
I was almost dead cert on the black dial.....now I'm not so sure!
-
I think it was released with three dials;
White, Graphite (grey) and black
As far as compared to a PAM 44mm I would say it wears slightly smaller, but only because Pam's are quite 'round and bulky' in shape. It is by no means a tiny watch, wears bigger than the 4th gen PO.
EDITED - CORRECTED BELOW THEY ARE DIFFERENT DIALS, THANK YOU CHRGOD
-
It's exactly what happened with the BCE and Steelfish. Higher demand for accuracy led to a better quality product.
-
A genuine bracelet wouldnt as the rep has 20mm lugs, but the gen has 22mm
-
Swiss and Superlume and we have one hell of a good replica on our hands! Put me down for it!
-
someone should correct me if i'm wrong, but gen bezels do not fit the 42.5mm rep bezel. I have both a gen and rep PO and made some comparison measurements of the bezel insert. Gen inserts seems to be .5-.8mm smaller than its rep counterpart.
I think the only ones that fit are other rep inserts... but i've heard it was difficult to change out because removal of the bezel was difficult.
If someone managed to do it, can yah let me know?
Bezel is easy enough to remove, it's a shame that they are different sizes though!
I have mine apart at the moment. I have been waiting to see if the gen bezel fits, looks like Il put the rep bezel back on!

Nice collection, and that Speedmaster is lovely!
-
There is certainly no chance of anyone not seeing the Bentley on your wrist. I have a very bad rep of it that I don't wear, it's a real eyecatcher!
-
Great story! Certainly one of the best reps available!
-
Is this on the horizon? If so, I just began salivating.
Indeed it is.....

Definitely. If the gen has the superlume, the rep will be that much more accurate in having it. I have never been too fanatical about it, but after seeing the lume shot of a genuine, it looks excellent!
