I just got back from an interview, so I've missed a few.
Ken is right about TR. McKinley was assassinated by an anarchist, so TR took the reins.
Oh, on the rope thing, as Ken said, C is right because either way, only 10 men worth of force is on either side of the rope.
I'm assuming that ex-directory means an unlisted number.
If that's the correct assumption, then 0 would have ex-directory numbers if you randomly pulled them from the directory
I just received a very nice little Santos Du Mont from Rocket754.
I payed on a Saturday and received on a Monday...how's that for fast?
pics to follow.
Thank you sir.

How about the Earth?
Billions of moving parts if you just count the Chinese and Indian human population.
They may not all help in the telling of time, but they are moving pieces none the less.
Ken,
You're very close...right line of thinking.
BTW, I just got back this afternoon from my Grandmother's house (took her to get her cataract removed), so I'm back in the game.
I'll want everyone that wants to play to be able to, so I'll answer this one and then sit out for the next few - I love brain teasers and puzzles if you can't already tell
...they won't eat the eggs because if you think EMS shipping prices and customs delays are bad from China and Taiwan, try shipping penguin eggs from the Antarctic to the Arctic. Forget about tracking numbers
The guy from the "I Beat Anorexia" shirt and that skinny Kobiyashi kid that wins the Nathan's Coney hotdog eating championship every year could easily pound down 30 cakes each.

A little news clipping about a blind diver (it looks like he tries to do lots of things people don't think the visually-impaired should bother with).
Narikaa,
Thank you again for a great game...I appreciate the challenge and I can't wait to have the Mystery Watch revealed!
All,
Look forward to pics.
Best Regards,

On further examination, I am convinced that it is for the visually impaired.
The disk of the seconds hand is at the end of the hand to be able to see better.
Huge high-contrast numbers.
I'm not sure if it actually vibrates, but I bet that it talks.
EDIT ...OK, so I'm a little late. I keep going even though I'm the winner. I should learn to type faster.
I'm sorry...I meant for the blind
My rationale...
extra buttons to have the time told to wearer perhaps as both voice (when on dry land) and via vibrations or pulses under water.
Very little lume for a dive watch
Seeing the brand may become unimportant if you cannot see
The "extra crown" looks like a little horn to me
Just trying to expand my thinking here
