  1. Thank you all for the feedback and support The buyer had asked the question about sending it bac kto the dealer. Bottom Line that was not an option. This is the first time something like this has happened to me with a transaction. Lesson learned and from now on with all future transactions I will SPELL it out. I am waiting to hear back from the buyer on the refund. I will keep you all posted.

  3. I totally understand where you are coming from. The watch was packaged in bubble wrap, put in a small box and mailed in a padded envelope. Even though I was not notified right away I understand that this is a hobby and we all take risks and trust one another so I will be refunding the money. I will also let the member keep the watch since I have no use for it and cannot return to the dealer. Thanks for your help.
  4. Thanks - Funny you mention return/warranties most of the stuff being sold by members do not mention anything about this. I have bought 5 watches from other RWG members and never once was return policies and warranties mentioned.
  5. Members I have sold a few watches on this forum since I joined in Dec 2008 and no complaints. I sold a Watch in January to a fellow Member that was scheduled to arrived no later than 1/16/09. The watch was in perfect condition but did run a little fast which was mentioned in the sale. I received a PM today 1/28/09 mentioning that the watch is not working. I am not able to return the watch back to the original dealer because I have not been able to get in tough with him for some time. I assume he is out of business. I packaged it up well but I assume this was damaged in the mail. My question is How should this be handled? This is the first time I sold a watch that was DOA and not brought to my attention immediately.
  6. I am not sure how this happened but the end of the lever on my Mini Fiddy broke off when i went to open it. Does any one have an extra lever for a Mini Fiddy CG or have CG+lever they would like to sell. Thanks Steve
  7. 24/24mm is the width size of the strap from the Lug to the end. The PAM has a LUG width of 24mm and some straps will taper off to 22mm. So when ordering your straps you first need to know the Lug width - usually 24mm and what buckle size 24mm or 22mm. The PAM deployment clasp will only take a 24/22mm band. Thanks
  8. Seems as though there are differences in versions. I assume mine is a V2 but it does a 2 piece back.
  9. The Gen Bezel is ceramic and has a smooth feeling to the bezel. meaning you can not feel the fonts. On the V2 it is engraved with a thicker font closer to the GEN but you can feel the fonts. With the V3 it is a thinner font but not sure if it is smooth. Other members that have the V# can comment. Here is a picture of my actual watch. You can compare to the V3 on some of the dealer sites. You will also see that my watch does have the domed crystal
  10. Yes that is true. This person has services my GEN watch in the past and has been great. But yes the clones are so good it is hard to tell. I just received my new GMTII and opened it knowing it was a clone and compared to a real ETA and they do a DAMN good job on the clone. What was missing was another set of numbers.
  11. I have both asian ETA and swiss ETA and they both keep great time. As for the quality of the asian ETA movements they seem to be working well. Like all the reps they should all be serviced if you want to get a long life out of the watch. If you go to the dealer web site link under the links tab most of the dealers are able to get what you want. Josh from Perfect clones offers 3 types of the DSSD (asian, asian eta, swiss eta). http://www.jpc8118.com/rolex-dweller-c-55_125.html In my opinion I would go with the asian eta if you are not sure if you want to spens over $300. Some member like the swiss movement but at the end of the day do we really know if they are swiss movements. My DSSD v2 is a great looking watch and has been great. If you really want the BLUE Lume then the V3 is what you want. For me I would rather have a more accurate bezel font then the lume. I can always send it out to The Zigmeister to relume later. I am sure other members will comment on this. I hope this helps. Good luck with your search.
  12. I purchased mine from Mickey at Sinowatches. It was a DSSD v2 SWISS ETA. I took the watch to a local watch smith to open it and they said that it was a SWISS eta 2836 movement. I prefer the v2 over the v3 because the bezel has a closer font even though it is engraved. The lume is blue on the hands and the markers a blue green color. Other than that the watch has been GREAT and keeps great time. My transaction with Mickey was easy and very good communication.
  13. This is exactly why I do not wear my GEN Super Ocean Chrono with the shiny bracelet. I was in a sales meeting the other day and I can see my customer's eyes trying to see what kind of watch I was wearing under my shirt cuff. I purchased this watch 6 months ago and now selling because it attracts to much attention. I wear only brush steal or leather straps now.
  14. All I just received the watch in the mail today and it is AWESOME!!! I addition to the Anonimo deployment and kodiak strap I took the stainless steel screw in caps and modified the strap so I could screw them on. Take a look at the pics. Thanks
  15. Yes it is a nice price I may purchase both the Black and White if I go non Chrono. How reliable are the chrono models? I am thinking about the grey model.
  16. I think the flae has something to do with the lume on the markers.
  17. Thinking about getting a Chopard GT XL. Are these worth getting, if so which would be the best out of the box. Thanks
  18. Thanks I should be getting it Tomorrow and will post pics.
  19. I already have a Gen Ball EM II diver and wanted to add another brand to the Gen collection. I was debating about an Anonimo watch and another Ball watch. After much debate and with RWG help I decided on the Ball Aviator but I really wanted the Anonimo Kodiak strap on it. I asked Steve Burns at About Time Watch Company www.abouttime.com to install a black Anonimo Kodiak strap and an Anonimo deployment buckle on my new Ball Aviator Watch which I just purchased from him! Check it out! He was very helpful you can reach him directly at 949-429-4290 if you are interested in any Gen watches. I have attached pics of what the watch looks like with the Anonimo strap. http://www.abouttime.com/abouttime/anonimo.invtc.html http://www.abouttime.com/abouttime/ball.invtc.html
  20. What you do not like my taste ? Just kidding. I am looking for something different to ad to my Gen collection.
  21. The owner is a personal Friend of mine. We grew up together. If you are interested in About time Please PM and we can talk off line. I have now started to purchase all my Gens through him. Thanks
  22. Thanks for the votes. I have to Balls already Really Ball watches are AWESOME watches my Master II Diver is great and nothing beats the LUME on these watches. The only reason I was thinking about Anonimo was to have something different. Also for those that do not know Anonimo watches are manufactured in FLORENCE ITALY by the original team that used to make Panerai watches. I will post pictures when I decide which watch I get.
  23. All As I expand my collection of Gens and Reps I am about to pull the trigger on one of the three. What is your vote?
  24. Sorry - Stuff moves fast on this forum. If I decide to sell them I will make sure I let you know. Thanks
  25. A nice watch that she can wear is a Cartier Pasha Seatimer it is only 40.5mm. Good luck with your search.
