V2 Looks UGLY n CRAP ! TOTAL DISASTER
i couldn't have said it better
I wasn't that thrilled about V1, this V2 is butt ugly and and big step back from V1.
Now let's hope they will come with a decent V3 without working PR and no recessed DW... if it ain't too much to ask
Otherwise i'm keeping my hard earned money in the pocket, cause i'm not spending it on something that looks like a $10 Canal street rep.
-
There is also a Girard Peregaux Richeville that looks like this one and tons of vintage watches on Ebay have a similar case shape.... i really couldn;t tell... sorry and good luck trying to find the answer.

Though there is some rumors floating that a 5004 is in the works.
But that would only be some minor cosmetical changes... the issues with the 5002 are the low DW and the faux PR. If they would fix those and do a cosmetic change to a 5004 ... than i guess i'd be a happy chappy

Hi JBB,
Welcome here... this is a nice save haven where you can read and learn a lot. Take your time before rushing into your first buy.
One hint... maybe you wanna delete your email that is right out in the open now...

First of all... thanx for making a comparisson!!
But... do you really count 54 teeth on the gen? There's a discussion going on about crowns produced by T and some members with a fairly recent PAM000 or PAM112 count only 48 teeth
One thing I did notice though is that the rep cartel crown I have has 50 teeth. The dimensions are the same as the gen but has 54 teeth. The rep cartel crown I have just has a more pronounced bevel on the teeth which makes it reflect as looking smaller. -
I thought it should have a solid caseback...

First of all, sorry to hear this T. This must suck, putting in so much effort and cash and that finding out that some of the data was maybe wrong...
The old ones, sold by the Turkish guy on Ebay and i got one or two from Kruzer, might be 60 teeth. Maybe they changed to less teeth later...?
If someone could verify this...
Depending on the outcome, you could always sell the 60 teeth crowns for cost price and the 48 teeth crowns with enough profit to make this interesting for you.

Note to self:
1. Get an AP ROO
2. See a shrink about watch addiction
3. Get a 2nd, 3rd oh heck... rob a bank
Grrrr... ditto to all three points
But in stead of a groupbuy, couldn't we organise a group robbery?

When i read things like this i know again why i'm holding back buying reps of $500+ ... on a gen you have warranty, on the rep... well... that's always a surprise. And after paying the $500+ bill you will have to invest more to get it real good fixing the flaws like AR, lume, day/datewheel alignment etc...
Sorry to hear about the problems of your and your friend's ROO's, SAS...
-
And all the movements still run strong?
-
Thanx for this great review Lani
The review is excellently supported by the photos and i always love reading the history write up
Although i think they produced a great case and crystal, i must say i'm far from thrilled with the quality of the dial, the too far recessed datewheel and the faux power reserve.

I've been eyeballing this new AP ROO for some time now and i'm really curious for the long time quality check. How does it hold out when it's worn a lot... i the movement still running fine, the chrono without probs, pushers, tube/crown, screws of bracelet etc...
I'd love to hear you stories guys! Not only the bad ones, but also the good one
I must also say that i'm amazed with the low number of posts concerning upgrades for the AP ROO. So who is doing superlume, who has sent the crystal off to Chieftang, thightening the screws?
Thanx for your stories in advance

My 3717 on HK Tan strap and with a calibre 79320
Mmmm... seems people don't pick this subtle signal up
-
I think this is could be true... or not. But it somehow doesn't make sense. Why is the gap between the datewheel and the dial so large?
It somehow looks like they put somehting in between the dial and the movement...
I can't make sense of it... it is strange...
Is it wrong to lie?
