hey guys,
little question: isn't this a 4th generation 42mm PO?
http://www.sinowatches88.com/show_products.asp?productid=691

Regarding that www.tt88.com sells it. - He might not have updated his webpage. Are you sure he sells it?
I am assuming you mean Trustytime?
I found it on his webpage, however he says he doesn't have it anymore.
This one: http://www.tt88time.com/index.php?main_pag...;products_id=25
He says he only have this one: (small P&O on the back)

hello everyone,
thanks a lot for your help.
so if i understood correctly, no dealer carries the 4th generation anymore,
and there's only the 3rd version available now?
is that correct? or does still someone carry the 4th gen?

EDIT: sorry, double post

Ha ha.... im a freak now.. i like this...... feast yourself:
The new ultimate version of the 45mm introduced a wrongly shaped logo, its been said the feet are shaped like the older seamasters
..good news is, if that bothers you, well... you're just like me, you'll need serious neurological evaluation:
Unless you give to the person that examines the watch a nuclear molecular microscope...you wont be able to see the difference.. so... go for the 45mm!..it aint all that big if you go for the rubber strap..and if that is good enough for bond..i'll think you'll do just fine..
cheers
A.
hey nnomad, thanks for your reply.
well, i mean, it doesn't bother me if i knew the wrong version was the only one available. but by-tor has one with the correct logo. so if i can get the correct-logo one somewhere, then of course i want that one if i can choose.
so does anyone know where i can get the correct logo one?

The watch seems to have the correct He placement just above the 10 marker which is correct. When the He marker is centered on the 10 it is a dead give away. You can change the hands for about $60 and the dial but you can't change an "off" case.

hey guys,
thanks for your help.
so in other words, there is no 4th generation PO 42mm with correct logo, and the only way to get a correct logo is by ordering the 45mm ultimate version?
i think i have seen a 42mm PO with a correct logo (from silix?) somewhere around here in a rewiew, but maybe i was wrong.
EDIT: this is the review by by-tor i was talking about: 42mm 4th gen with correct logo. http://www.rwg.cc/members/Review-OMEGA-Pla...Ocea-t7483.html
does anyone know where i can get this version?
best,

hey guys
i read around the board the reviews of the 42mm PO and i want to buy one.
but i have some questions:
1) am i right that of the 42mm, the the 4th gen is the best one?
2) is this one a 4th gen one: http://www.silix-prime.com/product.asp?id=1501
3) if so, doesnt it have a wrong logo? omega logo with "feet"? i think by-tor said the non-feet one is the right one but that the silix rep is the best.
can anyone help me to find the perfect 42mm PO?
thanks so much

Now another Portuguese, this time bought from Josh will be sent to me.
how soon?

V1: correct lume (just in 3/6/9/12 markers) - crooked markers though. Poor AR
V2: incorrect lume (all markers) - missing sub-dials rings (little step down) - better double AR
V3: correct lume - aligned markers - double AR
In all models DW (day/date) must be replaced by genuine ETA.
Thanks so much!
I must get V3 then. Anyone know who sells it?

hello,
i am still not getting it.
1) which version has the crooked markers at 3,6,9?
2) which version has the white lume and which one has the off-white lume?
3) which one has the recessed subdials and which one not?
4) is there a V3 with V1 dial, double AR and correct datewheel font? if yes, who carries it?

Case:
I thought that the case of the old reps were only 40 mm which is 0,9mm too small.
This one is 40,79mm so that’s perfect.
It’s a little higher than the gen 13,87mm vs 12,45mm for the gen.
Sander, can you please clarify this? I have no idea what you are talking about.
Are you saying that there actually is a new version of the portuguese?
Because everything i read so far suggests that nothing has changed at all and the so-called "improved version" is still the same as it ever was...
...but now you say the case size changed from the "old" portu chrono reps? are you sure about that?
thanks

Peter at IwatchStation sells the Asian 7750 movement. Email him.
you think he can also get the gearing used in a IWC portuguese rep? or do you know of anyone who probably could?

The other is unable to run. Was OK for maybe one month, but now stops after 10-30min on the wrist. Starts again if shaken, but is just not able to keep running.
Neither have been serviced.
I have exactly the same problem. Except that mine was only working for like 2 days.
Does anyone know how to get a replacement movement (including gearing) for the portuguese replica?

Hey guys,
joshua just said he has this one on stock: http://www.jpc8118.com/omse10010-seamaster...242-p-1432.html
it has the same price as the one from andrew: http://www.tt88time.com/index.php?main_pag...cts_id=25"
but it has a different logo!
still i guess it is 4th gen and has AR, so would you buy it?
