Reps were definitely my gateway drug to Gens. Way back in 1986 with my now horrible to look at Quartz Sub. But I was always a "Diver Watch" guy.
The funny thing Reps have saved me from buying Gens that I thought I would like, and swayed to buy Gens like my Explorer II White Face based on the comfort of my BK-Noob-ExpII Black. This forum also led to my discovery of the Ebel BTR, which I now own.
I have to go with Lanikai! Helps keep the lights on, thanks.
Lani is it true you were the stand in actor for Tagawa here :

I am curious. Look at your Yuki case (I am doing the same project w/Yuki's older case). Does yours have what looks like a cut-out inside the case?
Like one of those puzzle games, IF you get the angle correct it might actually slip in after all.
If that does not make sense, LMK and I will shoot some pics of the inside of my case. It is as if "they" accounted for the differing 1570's.
So-- I am trying to replicate the "White" seconds hand on the Rolex 6536/6538.
First attempt using Testers White Enamel paint and a superfine 0 brush did not go well.
While removing the bad paint job, the lume dot also was removed/dissolved.
Any advice on 1.) Painting Hands, and 2.) Recreating the lume on the hand.
TIA,
What amazes me is that for the cost of a couple of Starbucks a month you can be a Platinum Supporter here.
I support those that support me or "my neighborhood" which I consider RWG an extension of. Case in point, there is a little local Wine Store in my neighborhood that is struggling to compete with the big box stores. Sure I can save a few bucks a bottle down the street, but that is not the point. I want to support the little guy and keep his lights on too.... Sorry to digress.
I actually had one of these in my hand the day I bought by BTR. It is a nice dress watch, but I struggled telling time on it. Too used to the traditional layout. Stunning though...
This is a great idea for a thread. It would be nice to have a mini DB / Thread that has this additional dial information.
My DSN 177 and 112 are just a bit north of Matte, but not quite semi... Gens?
Here, let me save you the click cut-n-paste.
