  1. Now that is what I am talking about! I see Freddy is a multi-tasker as well. Just a regular table top? Different applications. #2 came with my 6497. Descriptions below from Offrei. Bergeon #1 Presto Hand Remover Black Handle - Hand remover for wrist watches, tips will not damage the dial. Bergeon #2 Presto Cannon Pinion & Pocket Watch Hand Remover Green Handle - For use on cannon pinions and for larger pocket watch and small clock hands. Bergeon #6 Presto Hand Remover White Handle - Second hand remover, excellent for curved countersink dials. Some think that this tool should be used on the small hour and minute hands of today's fine watches. Everyone should have this Presto # 6 model and Presto # 1 to begin with. More pics guys. Waiting for a shot of Nanuq's. I am sure there is an Axe and Sledge somewhere in it.
  2. Deja Vu. Same project in the queue, on my future bench. I look forward to seeing how yours turns out.
  3. Since we have photo's of everything else I am remodeling by Den and want to carve out a dedicated Watch work area. I have tools and lighting addressed, but I am still trying to come up with a good bench design. Post away. Tool's waiting for a home. Thanks in advance!
  4. Interesting. Anyone with extra domes to play with should do a Freezer (or Nanuq's Backyard ) -to- Hot water bath -to- freezer a couple of times. If that is the look you are going for. Science!!! Gotta love it.
  5. I am with Lani on using the flat rate express envelopes. I also read, I think a FedEX memo, that if the total package weight is under 16oz you will have little to no customs issues. I think that was UK specific. YMMV.
  6. I could see that amongst hardcore WIS's, and possibly some hipster >30 year olds. The hipster's will probably just download the Breitling iPhone application though. I think, downturn continuing, the trend will be more towards the Movado, Rado, Hamilton, Tissot's etc. for the population at large who actually care enough to buy a ~nice~ watch. Only downside to going vintage for econimic reasons is-- how much more will you need to spend to get the old movements serviced on top of the selling price. My AD is getting $500-600 to service a 1570. Interesting to think about though.
  7. Hmmmm. 1 to 5 Reps = (Tourist) 5 to 10 Reps = (Enthusiast) 10 to 20 Reps = (Jonesing) 20 + Reps = (Addict) Lanikai = (Godlike)
  8. Ahhh, these little nuances add "patina" to the forum. Kinda like one of Nanuq's vintage pieces.
  9. @HikeUSA and @Lani pretty PAM's Important meeting with CEO today, go'in legit.
  10. I am desperately seeking a DRSD dial. Let me know. Thanks.
  11. I was hoping to get Chris to roll this into the 14060 project. (Even though 501 are correct for 14060, IF he is going to the factory, why not do a little mix and match on the order) Any idea on the price? It might be in our best interest to have 5 people buy 4 sets each...Then resell if need be. Chris?
  12. Good question, but I believe any Gen parts will need to be 16610 based. Something to keep in mind when modding. (i.e. buy a gen insert for 16610, Clarks non-Cyclops for 16610). Right Chris?
  13. Yikes. I actually had a good experience with Canon CS USA back in 2006 on a 3 year old camera with bad ccd. They wound up RMAing a 3yr old camera and sending me the current model. Went from a 230 to a 630 series. It was part of a recall however, phone conversation less than 5 minutes. In the last year however, I have seen a decline in Canon quality in everything from printers to cameras. Seems like unless you are a Mark 5 shooter, the rest of the line is withering a bit. Canon WAS the go to camera, now Nikon and Panasonic seem to be on top of their game.
