  1. Depends. The R-n-R and WL have a cleaning agent built in. Cleans, waxes, lubes. If it is good enough to clean and lube a bike chain, I think you are fine. I did mine on a brand new WM9 bracelet. If you have been wearing yours for some time, I suppose a pre-clean couldn't hurt. Personally, I hate mixing chemicals.
  2. Also in agreement. Some of Rolex's best designs. Simple, elegant, functional... Nice collection.
  3. Excellent! I would love to know the specs/mods, etc on this beauty/franken.
  4. Personally, I would change the crystal to one without AR or a Chief AR version. (I have 2 DSN PAMs that the AR is bugging me a little bit) Does anyone know a source a for PAM crystals that fit reps? Since DSN is pretty popular, anything for those? TIA
  5. Great Watches and Pics above starting off the week. Wow. Going with the SOH:
  6. @Harley357 Beautiful Railmaster! Sticking with the 177ti. Pictures make the dial look to 'blue' Grrrr!
  7. DIY is the best route, and a pin tool, or even a mini tool-kit off the Bay will set you back less, or the same, as going to someone. However, way back in the day before I had tools, I had good luck with "Department Store" (that does not carry the same brand) watch repair sections. For example, to this day there is a "Sears" with an on site watch repair guy. All he does all day is change batteries in Quartz watches. These guys see reps all the time and can care less. Should you be called out by a Kiosk or the Sears WIS, just be agreeable: "I thought so, my brother-in-law gave it to me and said he got a "good deal", now I know why".
  8. Four: SOH SOSF BlackSteel Skyland Fantasy Navi-Date
  9. Freddy333's post above leads to my view on the subject. If the shoes, cloths, other accessories like pens and sunglasses match, it is hard to spot a "quality" rep. Funny thing is, if I see a PAM on a non-OE PAM strap, I tend to think the person is "one of us". There are days I wish we had a secret handshake or something. I don't mind deceiving the masses, but would welcome an honest discussion with others like us.
  10. New Toy 177ti just arrived:
  11. Inspired by Kelsters FS thread...
  12. China will copy anything. The replica Rolls Royce is branded "Riich" http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/pictur...-Auto-2009.html
  13. Start with Silix to find out what he specified on the shipping label, and if it is possibly disguised as something other than watches. It would raise suspicion if you said watch parts and the package said something else.
  14. SOSF from a rep perspective. The larger lume markers are harder to screw up than the small dots.
  15. That is a work of art!!! Wear it well.
  16. I like them ALL. I have another use for #3. Can you share your source? Thanks!
  17. I have purchased from these guys before. http://www.jomashop.com/ HTH
  18. Seafoam, Since I know where you live-- there is an AD "at the mall" that has these in stock. Pop in and try one on. (Just don't wear a rep when you go ;-) ). The watch is a bit thinner than the big CG PAM's-- so it evens things out and has a smaller presence IMHO. HTH,
  19. I also like it. I would be curious to see it with old style pushers as well (but that could impact WR).
