  1. Put the WM9 in the winder and switched to this.
  2. Welcome indeed. Unfortunately, even with so called "Super Reps" you will never fool 100% of the population. Primarily because of crazy people like the members here, myself included, and other WIS that can recognize the smallest inaccuracy. All of the above advice is very good.
  3. Which ETA is this? Thanks
  4. Fantastic. I may want to do this on my 1665 project. You did this on an ETA correct? 2836? So, how much for a decal?
  5. New WM9 Z Sub. Sorry, no photos of my own yet. Below photo compliments of By-Tor's review: Thanks BT for temp photo.
  6. If you are into the white face'd PAM's you are in luck. Why for the life of us, they stopped/don't rep the 048 is beyond me. Good luck, and should you encounter any 40mm black faced PAM's let us know.
  7. Great Macro shots. Thanks for sharing! Wear it well. Since you posted some eye candy for us gearheads-- Enjoy:
  8. Very clever! Thanks for sharing.
  9. I recommend this method these days. I am sold.... (even though a lex, same logic applies) http://www.rwg.cc/members/Bracelet-Rattle-Fix-t93590.html
  10. Remember, site pics are often outdated. Send an email before you buy. Factories change. You may wind up with CGs and no lug holes despite what the site shows. Especially if they drop ship.
  11. Still rolling with Sundays selection. (Even though my WM9 Sub arrived last Friday - no pics yet)
  12. @Sql_pl I love the simplicity of that watch... I think I need a 112 as well.
  13. Most excellent. Wear it well. Interesting, from the picture, the pearl looks concave...???
  14. Thank you P4GTR for this idea. I received my WM9 on Friday, and just completed this today. However, no Rock Lube available at my bike store, so I went with White Lightning Clean Ride. I can confidently say, exact same results. Additions to P4GTR's OP: I used a can of compressed air to further dry out the hollow mid-links after the wash off. Also, I separated the bracelet into 2 half's. 1st unfasten at clasp, then remove each half from head. Great results. This is totally silent ~on the wrist~. Off the wrist, the sound has been reduced from clanky steel on steel to a very muted, to be expected gen like sound. It is also silky smooth, and as your wrist swells throughout the day, it doesn't stick/bind on your wrist. What I used. to P4GTR. This should be a sticky. -Ronin
  15. Don't actually know. It came from a member here.
  16. I share your sentiments almost exactly. Except I am in the 14060 & 16760 Gen Rolex camp, and a Gen Navitimer. (Watches that reps, just don't cut it) I prefer the classic, vintage, simple clean designs (with the 'classic' Navi exception). I think I am done with the extra complications aka 7750 based watches. I went through a PVD phase as well. There is a reason the classic PAM/Rolex designs endure. However, to the theme of your post "Industry Trends", unfortunately, bling is still in as many watch designs were on the drawing board well over a year ago, before the economic hit. I think PAM had the best showing at Basel this year, they stuck to their roots. Rolex & Breitling disappointed.
  17. Wow, we could fund a small army with the value in that case.
  18. Buddy Rich Memorial Concerts. (Amazon link) Product Description The world's finest drummers came together with the Buddy Rich Big Band on October 14, 1989, to honor Buddy Rich. This 2 DVD set features Neil Peart, Dennis Chambers, Dave Weckl, Steve Gadd, Louie Bellson, Gregg Bissonette, Vinnie Colaiuta, Marvin 'Smitty' Smith, Steve Smith, Omar Hakim and Will Calhoun. A very successful series on VHS, this highly anticipated DVD represents an exceptional value by containing the complete original series and special features including photo gallery and 3 bonus performances starring Buddy Rich. Running time approx 270 mins.
  19. @Sixx WoW... @dluddy, Keith Moon was Neil's biggest influence back in the day. He has said as much in past interviews. I think it was Moon's influence that lead to Neil drumming with the opposite end of the drum sticks. He did this up until the Test For Echo record, when he went "back to school" with Freddie Gruber. Also, make sure to check out his Buddy Rich tribute stuff. This is actually my favorite solo of his, and it is not with Rush. I think I like it for the smaller/simplified drum kit he uses. Also, you can see him "flip" to using the back side of the stick shortly in to his Rush-esq solo portion.
  20. A W E S O M E............ Freddy, you need to compile a coffee table book of your photo's. -Ronin
  21. This is why we need more supporters. Otherwise the lights, errr images, begin to flicker.
  22. Sounds like you have an Ace Timer "fuzzy logic" that when set @ 1000 TPD will give you 500 CCW and 500 CW. Not enough. IIRC you will need 650+ CW turns to keep A7750 or one-way winding rotors happy. I have an Ace, I love it, but-- I will be hacking its circuit board. It only keeps the ETA's, Miyota's, and "Russians" happy. On a similar note, I have a PAM rep with accurate & functioning power reserve meter. On the winder, it simply extended the 40hr power reserve to about 1 week. I watched daily as the power reserve slowly crept to zero. At least that has been my experience. YMMV. -Ronin
