  1. Weekend with the Chinatown Daytona (PS. I may be selling this soon) -Ronin
  2. Correct... on the newest models.
  3. The same seller has the later F-serial (mid-2003) 14060 as well. (Actually that seller has 7 14060's) Tempted, but it is a BuyItNow, I would guess this will come down in price in the near future. 14060 F-Serial on the Bay -Ronin
  4. Primarily the rolexrolexrolex engraving on the rehaut. M has the engraving, Z does not. M series is like this: -Ronin
  5. A 14060 without the SCOC text!!!! Although I won't be bidding-- this is a future Gen for me or a plead for a GOOD WM9 or even Noob quality Rep. Sigh..... I hope someone here DOES get it... Go Lanikai. -Ronin

  7. My bad, I have a rep, 2836-2 'wrong hand' stack that ONLY rotates the GMT hand at 2x. Absolutely, no setting it to do otherwise. The date position ONLY sets date, and the hour position only sets the time like a regular watch. I haven't opened it up yet. It is a really bad rep. -Ronin
  8. Is that using a 2893-2 or a 2836-2? Fully working GMT hand?
  9. I ordered one a week or so ago from BK. Waiting patiently.
  10. Great link, thanks. Here is another one I have been using with Triple Monitors as well: http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper_beta/do.../dual_monitors/ Enjoy!
  11. Neither, they would wear this -or- -finally, god forbid- Seriously, to answer your question, I am thinking Gen.
  12. I am with you. I don't treat my watches like they are eggs. Although a Gen-- Seiko 7002-7039 automatic I have worn this watch on my "Adventure Travels" for the past 10 years. Serviced by me, twice. This watch has survived surfing, diving, 3000 miles of on/off road motorcycling on my BMW GS dual-sport, and a week at Burning Man- camping in the equivalent of talcum powder. It is still an automatic, and has been the best, most reliable, watch I have ever owned. The cal. 7002 movement has 17J and runs at 21,600 bph. It's non-hacking and has a quickset date-only calendar mechanism. (200m water resistance, uni-directional bezel with 120 clicks)
  13. LOVE IT!!! Curious about the "Coin Treatment". Please enlighten me... Thanks.
  14. Nice. Please report back after you have had it for awhile. Curious as to long term reliability, accuracy, and so on. Any shots of the back side? I am debating between this and the SFSO. Maybe both :-)
  15. #2 Kobold Soarway GMT Gen's retail around 4k.
  16. #1 for me would be a WM9 Quality 14060 NON-SCOC I find it fascinating there are NO good versions of an other wise simple clean design. Keep it clean and leave off the SCOC as well. Don't forget the lug holes!!!
  17. First a funny story, I dated a girl once who could not tell time on a watch/clock with hands. She could only tell time on a Digital. I also know some youth, that grew up after the rotary phone, that can't tell time on anything but digital. Bizzare. Digital will not kill mechanical. For the same reason Vinyl Record Sales are UP. Vinyl Record Sales up, nail in CD's Coffin? My two analog passions are mechanical watches and vinyl records. Nostalgia- Give me Tube Amps, a killer turn-table, and a mechanical watch. Does not take much to please me!
  18. They just dropped the 0's. I am guessing the bright people working around magnetic fields could figure out 1 was really 10 minutes remaining, if they used the bezel to time something.
  19. Stumbled upon this. Rep? Gen? Franken? Closest I come up with is a Milgauss 6541, but the bezel is different. <edit: looks like both types of bezels were used> Anyone ever see one of these in the Wild. Would make a interesting Rep since I am guessing very few have one.
  20. Adding one more... Why oh why is it so hard to get a GOOD/GREAT ref. 14060 SUB Seriously, given the great Steelfish's, and WM9 16610 this should be one of the easiest.... Below is a 14060M, but either 14060 or 14060M would be most excellent. Check out this SUPER Wallpaper with a NATO band -> Big Wallpaper of 14060 with Nato
  21. So I am wondering... My only experience with a Bi-directional bezel comes from a Russian Vostok watch. It is HORRIBLE. The slightest brush of a coat or shirt sleeve rotates it off of 12. I attribute this to Cold War crappy Russian technology. That said. How is the tension / resistance on some of the vintage reps? Are they easily knocked around? TIA!
  22. Wow... Ok, I am totally against 'papers' for replica watches for the scam ideas referenced above. The ONLY place this has a shred of usefulness ~might~ be for getting through customs. But seriously, if you want "papers" spend enough time with Google-- somewhere, for some auction somewhere, there is probably a photo of one. If it is 'truly' for your own piece of mind as someone who is a completionist (<- is that a word), just fire up <your favorite pagemaker software> and 'create' your own Tribute Papers.
  23. I have no complaints with the Asian movements in a handful of reps I have. I have only had one that ran super fast, but I was able to tune it myself and it too works great. Since I rarely wear the same watch longer than a week, any deviation is never really noticed. (I don't keep them on winders, so they eventually stop, and get reset upon my next wear.)
  24. Theta is to Omega as Invicta is to Rolex.
  25. Fantastic, love it!
