  1. My winder is a godsend on my 1575 non-quick set date Rolex's, and 7753 powered Breitling Navitimer, plus a few other non-quicksets. My AceTimer purchased in 1/2009 is still going strong.
  2. USPS is a mess in my area. I have 3 different mail carriers in a given week. Priority Packages that usually took 2 Days are now taking 5 days.
  3. The 750's / 1200T modern DOXA's represent some kick-ass watches. Also, being a Ball Watch fan & Tritium Tube fan, the 800Ti is killer time piece. Don't discount a modern DOXA as a quality daily watch. I dive with my 'modern' DOXA's but would no longer dive with my 1968 300T. The vintage is now more of a collectors item to me.
  4. The deals seem to be with the mid-high-end models. PAMs that sell/sold in the $9000 range can be had in the $6000 range. Most of the entry PAMs still hover in the $4000-$5000 range, so less of a deal. "177" / Titanium seems to be a sweet spot. The 029 I saw was @ $7500 -vs- $12,000.
  5. RWG is my HOME. However, if RWG fell off the face of the Earth, I would probably migrate to Wrist Check.
  6. Doxa has multiple divisions. That watch photoed is a FAKE if you ask me. It looks like a Parnis case/CG. The Ugly Doxa's are essentially "Doxa Asia". http://www.doxa-in-a...collections.php (There was also a lot of FUD around 2007 about Doxa and their Asian operations and parts from Asia making it into Swiss models. Most of it was bogus, based on an errant screen shot of a Doxa subsidiary. Doxa Swiss watches do follow Swiss law.) There is Doxa EU and Doxa USA also. Stick to http://doxawatches.com/ I own FIVE Doxa's from Vintage 300 to Modern 1200T, 800Ti, 750T-GMT and I assure you they are ALL great timepieces.
  7. I tend to keep my on the FS threads on the various GEN forums. I noticed an odd trend over the past few months. Since the release of the Noob/H Reps, people seem to be selling off the Gen equivalents (or trying to pass the SuperReps off) in usually high numbers. 111/112/177/176/029/390/005. Anyone else notice this trend? Not including eBay there are 48 PAMs FS on watchrecon and the majority are the same model as the supers. I saw three (supposedly) Gen 029's FS in 4 days. TONS of 390's have showed up. That begs the question; Are the Gen guys spooked? Are they lurking on the Rep forums? Are Rep guys trying to SCAM the GEN guys with these new Reps?
  8. ...yours is missing the overlay that gives you the 'issue' with the gear. Your DW as photoed would not align with a GEN Date Window it is too far to the outside.
  9. Ofrei tends to get a bad rap, but honestly, I have done close to 50 transactions with them. NEVER an issue. 1.) I only use the Online Order System 2.) I have a corporate mailing address that looks like it is a watch company. 3.) Know what you really want, do your homework up front. They are not there to guide you.
  10. This is TWICE. I busted him a few months ago trying to sell an "Aftermarket" 1675 insert (clearly the same as a WSO) for $499! He responded to me in kind, but never removed it. This seller is either ignorant to his parts, or is peppering in aftermarket stuff knowingly.
  11. They are all 93150's. Two AD's by me have the latest and they are "Old School".
  12. HomeBrew 6536/Kingston Homage.
  13. http://www.ballwatch.com/index.php?option=com_technology It is in a gas form in a tube.
  14. Ditto, as a backup to Red, if anyone needs Ofrei stuff I can get it to you.
  15. Wow this and Red's review really caught my attention. Question: How is the AR? Too Blue/Purple or just right? As far as tell's go, these are not something you see everyday so it is kind of a non-issue. The date window is the only gotcha.
  16. Thanks for the PNs. Ouch, that sunken DW looks like a show stopper. How do GENs using this movement get around that, or is it because of the overlay?
  17. Can you share what parts were needed from Cousins to raise the post?
  18. Another pet peeve with the place is certain brands like DOXA and MKII, etc., make WUS their Official Home. The problem with that, similar to businesses using FaceBook, is that you have to ACCEPT their shitty terms of service. If you get banned from WUS and one of those brands is your passion, you are fscked to keep up with limited editions, pre-orders, etc. (not that it is hard to get around a ban) I never understood why companies would do this. They are loosing potential customers.
