  1. Can the entire auto-wind bridge/mechanism be swapped? Curious?
  2. Very nice! Great case work. A CG less "Fat Lady"...
  3. Woah! Nice glue overflowing from the insert. Looks like a ND Dial. I say rep.
  4. I just cant get past the WOK..... I hear Pac-Man in my head when I see that rehaut.... WOKa-WOKa-WOKa-WOKa..... (or Fozi Bear, waka-waka).
  5. Not bad for a 43 year old watch! Re-lumed obviously.
  6. Vintage Rolex bracelets, while wonderful to look at, simply never had the fit and finish of the end-links like their modern equivalents. Add 50 years of service to many of them and what you end up with is a very expensive, ill fitting, stretched out item in most cases. I was looking at a gen red 1680 a year ago with original bracelet-- it was practically unwearable. The endlinks were also quickly wearing away the serial number and case stampings.
  7. But at the end of the day, ALL versions above will pass the 3'ft/1m Sushi bar arms length test. On the flip side, when did you order this from DW? How long did it take to get? Still waiting 2 months on a shipment from him...
  8. In or associated with that tread there was a link out to VRF where Steve M. raised his eyebrows on this one also: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rt=nc&nma=true&_rdc=1&item=200568431753&si=Njn2Ay%252BmBAW4HG5pn8wsRkNJ4gg%253D&viewitem= Thoughts?
  9. Good point OS. If you are tearing into it, maybe it is time for a face lift. Check out Yobokies dial offereings. (I would recommend Noah Fuller as well, but IIRC he is dealing with some health issues). http://s161.photobucket.com/albums/t208/yobokies/Dial/
  10. GS Hypo can get a little stringy in there, be careful if you go that route. You may want to try some double sided 'thin' tape. Often found in Scrapbooking sections. I just saw some at Target yesterday. Just be careful not to hang up the datewheel.
  11. Yep. The feet go into the two black circles @ 2:00 and 8:00 in the photo above of the spacer. It is a press fit. I would be shocked that you sheared off TWO feet! Does the watch stem work for setting time? It almost sounds like the stem broke and the whole assembly rotated.
  12. All the details on assembly can be found here. http://www.thepurists.com/watch/features/8ohms/7s26/
  13. The dial attaches to the spacer, not the movement directly:
  14. To the right of the screen you can flag it down as Prohibited. Flagged...
