  1. Looking good. Is that a gen crystal? It really pops!
  2. crazybob15201 with a feedback of score of (4). [edit: posted at same time, great minds think alike.]
  3. No question, Ubi is a Jedi Master!
  4. +1 Pug. Also, just announced was Color "e-Ink". I think if you are a hardcore reader an actual e-Reader is a must. The iPad is a nice supplement as needed.
  5. Amazing. Wish I had a line on some Gen dials myself...
  6. Great points by everyone above. +100. Especially the Spring Drive comments~ now that is real innovation! Normal, Fsck Normal: Every normal person, in fact, is only normal on the average. His ego approximates to that of the psychotic in some part or other and to a greater or lesser extent. ~Sigmund FreudEvery normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats. ~H. L. MenckenThe only normal people are the one's you don't know very well. ~Alfred AdlerTo be normal is the ideal aim of the unsuccessful. ~Carl JungWhen will you understand that being normal isn't necessarily a virtue? It rather denotes a lack of courage.
  7. -2.00 A bit of an impossible to know for sure/trick question. Your logic is solid, but actually, I think these are the best "aftermarket" spring bars available. Here is the answer: these are the Ofrei SWISS replacements. PN# FD-7895. A quick word about these Ofrei Swiss -vs- Used Gen -vs- PT/Rep 2mm. -- I have a set of PT 2mm bars and they are have very weak springs. I do have a set of used Gen's, that are well, used and a little tired. I can hold a PT bar between my thumb and forefinger and squeeze all day long. The Ofrei Swiss on the other hand will practically puncture your skin if you try to squeeze them between thumb and index finger. As for going Gen, especially 'used' gen, why bother in this case when the Swiss Ofrei's seem to be equal to Gen quality.
  8. I have to say, this would be great for working out...If you could use wireless headphones. All it needs is a heart rate monitor. :goood:
  9. Sort of, yes. I get all four seasons here. Summer usually equals "Short Sleeve" or "Athletic wear", nights out with no jacket required. I am more prone to wear the PAM's, larger watches, or sport models, and dare I say blingier models. Winter, with long sleeves and sweaters, usually has me in either the dressy, slimmer, classic models ~ or beaters and less than perfect reps (since they hide under the sleeve).
  10. Wow! Great pics all, @Watchmeister - That 23T is Amazing! @Powershot - Best Photo I have seen all day! @Freddy333 - That last Tudor Pic rocks! Rail 1665 still for me:
  11. Very nice. Is it just a Tag AD, or do you have access to other brands?
  12. Good catch on the hands. I never paid that close of attention on the hands before. I may need to source some WM9 hands. That will still fit my "RSC Service Look" since hands these days get Lumi replacements.
  13. Are the 2846 pallets really plastic? -or the 42's? Oddly, I have in my possesion, 2 new "non-hacking" 2846's. Strange, as I also have a hacking version of the 2846.
  14. CORRECT.... it is an ingod44 dial from the bay. White, not his patina one. Oddly, it looks like NDT is selling what looks the same for 2x the price. If you are 'viewing new', you may want to scroll to post #1 to see the status thus far. TOP
  15. Agreed, even if the tube has extra room, gaskets, and once you "screw down", it will be tweekie. Edit: However, if it is a non-date movement, with high enough cannon, you might be able to make up the difference with dial spacing. (5512, 5513, 5517).
  16. Lots of dupes, between you and panerai53, I am giving credit for the bracelet. The bracelet is a mash-up of parts, so definitely not gen. GREAT Observations. There is a $2.50 Bonus for identifying all the bracelet parts used. :clapping: Tudor is correct! Dial - Credit given for identifying it as non-Gen. While it looks like what NDT is carrying now, that was not my source.
  17. Getting there. $33.50 So far I have only deducted for two wrong answers. (4.00) @panerai53 - Great Job, you are top earner! Bracelet - - This one is going to be a challenge (I hope). I did not deduct for the wrong part, since you have some of it right. @praetor - A Rolex expert I trust once explained to me that SeaDwellers actually did come with black painted backs - you are correct however in your analysis. Time has all but erased this feature that now has people scrambling to strip the paint. For the crown, I will give you credit for it being GEN, newer service part. I was looking for a comment about the crisp engraving and tapers. About the hands, these are in fact not the normal rep hands, so what are they? Keep up the fun,
  18. That is not where it came from... Sorry.
  19. Thanks for this! I think you have me convinced to update my DW 6263 bezel. Edit: You must have grabbed the last one. He is back-ordered, even at the $218 price tag!
  20. And pray tell sir, what led you to this conclusion.
  21. RULES: Remember answers WITHOUT explanation of how you figured it out do not count. Tell me specifically why you think so? I am tempted to give you 'partial' credit, but lets let this run out a bit more.
  22. @alligoat beautiful Daytona! I went off the Rail's today, hot off my work bench:
  23. That is pretty hot!
