No real answer. I saw a gen, supposedly non-serviced 2.8mil serial that was silver, round 3's open 6 & 9's. I have seen GW's and Rail's with WHITE (not silver) DWs. From what I can tell, and based on service history ANY of the following could be correct; - Silver, Flat 3, Open 6 & 9's - Silver, Round 3, Open 6 & 9's - White, Round 3, Open 6 & 9's

Rolex has refreshed much of the DD DJ line up. If you have a rep from a few years ago, even 1 year ago, it is probably a 36mm which is still correct.

Bumpity, Bump... Ok, we have a venue, and we also have additional day possibilities. We can do Saturday afternoon, or basically any day other than Thursday or Friday (this is the venues busy days). Venue. It will be an upscale Wine and Tapas bar. We will have the place to our self, and the general public will NOT be permitted in while we are there with our wares.Food - I have decided to take care of funding the small plates of food. (Meats, Cheeses, etc-- your basic Charcuterie, and sweet plates). For anyone interested in "Traveling" to Denver, I may have access to a 2 bedroom condo/guest suite for $75.00 a night, right in the upscale heart of downtown. If anyone wants to extend their stay and do some Skiing, Snowboarding etc, the mountains should have decent base by then. -or- on the flip side explore the city, I have plenty of vacation to burn and can assist. Now we just need to pick a date. December ????

+1 for B&M. I got to talk to one of their VP's at a watch fair at my AD. I really like what they are doing as a company and their price point is actually excellent for a Swiss boutique maker. The MB is too "Mall Fashion" IMHO.

I am leaning toward the Freddy333/Fashion/Economic times dictates camp for 'the average sized individual' (I agree with By-Tor that a 36mm would look strange on a large athlete/body builder, etc.) Like anything, there are fashion forward individuals, and then there are late adopters, or 'who cares' crowd. However, the only thing I would add is, what is still acceptable, semi fashionable (big watch, average build)-- may not be right 'for the times'. We are in tough economic times many places, and the large, look at me, bling, might send the wrong message. Contrast with a 'classic', unassuming, even vintage piece.

Although they seem to be going up in value, can't forget about the 2002.

Well, if you do not have a Rolex caseback die, or hototeck orb ball, then yep a wad of duct tape. However, Spin probably has it very tight, so 50/50 chance.

Great watch for sure. The manual wind conversion is fantastic. As an owner of a Spinmaster 6263 myself, ditto on the bracelet, but as you said-- easy to fix. As for the chrono, I stopped using mine. The chrono seconds hand has its issues. There are two that plague this model: 1) The non-resetting to home postion / floppy hand. (@Freddy333, can you post your link to the epoxy fix? This is one problem that I have encountered) 2.) The problem you are experiencing, pushers not doing anything. IIRC another member had the same problem and it was related to "the caseback being too tight" ???? Upon loosening the caseback the pusher magically (don't sue me Steve Jobs) started working.

The 2783 beats at 21,600, just like a 2846 (which is a simple swap into the MBW case). Gen Rolex 15xx movements beat at 19,800, so 'close enough'. I would go 2846, and shop around for a dial you like, be it from; Yuki, NDT, eBay, etc. The MBW dial, if it is the same as the one that originally came with mine, is not a bad representation of the R O LEX spaced dial. Here is my MBW 5513 with NDT "Ubi Modded Dial"

I am going to vote for the early/mid December dates. (November-- with the Denver Film Festival, Thanksgiving, and time to line up a venue might be tough.)

Excellent. Wow, never really paid attention to that model Daytona before. The pictures in that post really make it shine... While OHMSS may not have been a high point in the Bond universe, it did have some excellent outdoor winter skiing scenes...

Yes, Talks so far have also included making this a "+1" event with Spouses, Girlfriends, Significant Others*. Location will most likely be an establishment that serves adult beverages and small plates. Upscale wine bar/shop, or other. We would have this space/place to ourselves, but to do so might require it be a Sunday. *I attended a GTG for "gens" here in the Rocky Mountain area that included couples, and it was very fun to see the ladies who were equally into watches, ~or~ mingling with others who 'understand' our sickness. What are your thoughts?
