  1. ^^^ Yep. A 7750 requires 650 TPD Clockwise I believe. Setting the AceTimer to 1000TPD = 500 CW, 500 CCW so 150 short. Actually the best experience I have had was with a 7753 that did "extend" to about a month...
  2. I read the article in IW yesterday actually. My impression was he has become anti-fashion plate, anti-little guy/boutique guy. There was one part in the article where he mentions his suit maker wanting to make watches with his help. He refused. I also think he is against the "assemblers". Guys who just buy a bunch of Swiss parts, assemble a watch and sell it as some high end watch. (Like a Debaufre' and possibly down to a Kobold level.). There was also a great quote in the article where he compares to the auto industry. It went something like "Image Joe Thompson wants to make a car. He goes to GM to buy the engine for his Joe Thomson car. GM would be like 'Hell NO!'." I am not saying I agree with him, but I see where he is coming from. My worries is about parts availability down the road. Do the Offrei's / Cousins get "cut-off"???? That is the ONE question they article never answers. I also wonder what his definition of "Big Watch maker" is that they will continue supplying to. Does this mean the Doxa's, Ball, Sinn, Kobold, Bremont, and other small to mid-range companies will be cut off? We shall see...
  3. Yikes, her 048 and Radiomir was much sexier!
  4. 7 to 10 days from my experience with it.
  5. Yep, known issue with so-called "Fuzzy Logic" aka "No Logic" winders that simply alternate clockwise vs CCW. This also applies to AceTimer winders. I have a GEN 7750 based watch, and even setting it to 1000 TPDs will only "extend" its being wound about 1.5 weeks from a full wind, sit in the winder that long. Most of these winders work off of simply "Polarity Switching" to the DC motor. You can HACK it by bypassing the logic board and setting the polarity the way you want it.
  6. @donerix, very nice project there....
  7. Funny thing is the original one JoJo posted was actually flagged and removed despite the apparent "truth" in advertising about the re-dial. Could have been a good "parts" opportunity.
  8. Inspired by all the Daytonas, I will follow suit...
  9. @Eton, if I can ask, where did you source that strap?
  10. Paper? Like Fxr said, most I have seen were waterslide decals (or decal) that you peel and apply to a steel overlay, then glue the overlay to the existing DW. ? If it is truely just paper, and you wish to apply to an existing DW, Rubber Cement or childrens Glu-Sticks might work.
  11. Ditto on aftermarket. Looks identical to the one on my 6265 "REP". Like JoJo, it is close to a v3, but still a little thin fonted like the rep/aftermarkets.
  12. Ahh the '89... Yes, IIRC that was the first year to resolve some of the snap oversteer issues.
  13. 1969 thru 1972 Porsche 911. (Actually well within grasp from a $ perspective) These cars have a great rear end.
  14. Nice review. Question, on the rehaut engraving, does the "R" in Rolex line up at 9 / :45?
