  1. well i have come to the conclusion that i probally should get a gen Breit. Chrono Avenger Titanium while there are still a few left with AD's

i considered a franken project but even with my connections i cannot get the dial.. and the old cases go very quickly here...

while the new skyland is a very nice watch it is SS case (not to mention gen dials are non existant) and if you have ever had a ti cased watch by any brand they are just awesome and much less prone to getting damaged or scuffed or swirled.. i am probally just gonna put this in a display case in my library but anyway... like i really need another watch ;-) but i really would like to get this before i never will be able to again and they are sold out.

    advise or recommend:

    white dial chrono avenger titanium

    black dial chrono avenger titanium

    grey dial chrono avenger titanium

  2. please friends keep this in mind...

used parts = cheap price and a dealer looking to unload stocks so that they don't get stuck with used/old parts.. the $$ does not matter to them as they already serviced the item, selling a used parts is like a little bonus for them... They Do Not Care at that point.

    new parts = higher price

    pm anytime.

    thanks

  3. hello!

used to be DISCOVERY110, now known as Defender110.

when you first apply for a membership here you its kinda hard to think of the longterm.... also known as Moto_man on old TRC.

the ID i really wanted is Defender110

    NAS Defender110 price in 1993: $33,000

    price in 2008 for a used NAS 1993 Defender110: $70,000+

anyway yes i have a source for genuine NEW NAVI EVO and SA parts. NO SKYLAND parts, as it is a NEW RELEASE.

Breitling service center does color swaps and general service.. so a variety of colors they have on hand, and if you are in the Diamond business you can make special requests and develop contacts, but it takes time... and i always refuse the used/hairline dials they are always trying to get me to take!!

  4. hello friends

does anyone know of a solution for this big case?

yes i know you can use a ball of tape or a rubber glove or a orb.. but i am looking for a proper tool for this Big Case.

so far all the tools i have do not open wide enough to fit on the caseback.

i have also had a few of the dealers including angus look for on of the aluminum milled tools.. but the maker does not make one big enough.

    anyone?

  5. hello friends in the Rolex Area!

I have not done any posting here and i am new to Rolex.

I understand that many are at first drawn to rolex but that is not why i started here on the forums, my interest was with other makes.. and i also quickly found out that... NO ONE HAS THE PERFECT SUB! :-)

so after much time spent with Panerai and Breitling projects and many satisfying Frankens.. i came across this by happenstance:

    post-1967-1216737426_thumb.jpg

NEW STOCK ElPrimero in the package.

so i will now begin a franken daytona 16520!

i will try and periodically update here on the project but i am sure that it will take some time for me to acquire all the necessary parts, i will also post questions here from time to time.

btw: i have come across a SEL NOS (78390-A) bracelet.. what is a good buy?

  6. i have this watch!!!

some of the dealers had these well over a year ago!

nothing like the gen but very comfortable @ 40/42mm :-)

quartz powered. i have greased the o'rings and taken mine scuba diving!

i have the gen now, couldn't resist. but i must say this one had garnered alot of comments... more so then other frankens or gens...

these listed @ ~100 back when.

keeps great time! and was a daily beater for 6mths!

  8. I have a brandnew genuine SA bezel in stock and I am considering the purchase of the rep to build up a FrankenSA. Is the bezel swap an easy fix? I didn't order the rep yet so I have no clue at this time. Perhaps SAFranken owner can help me out? Thx a lot.

the rep bezel is press fit the the rep case.. mask off the rep with electrical tape(several layers) and pry up the rep bezel w/ a caseback knife. however to fit the gen bezel you need a complete GEN set.. 1. gen bezel 2. gen bezel inner mounting ring 3. complete screw set

i cannot source the parts separately. i only have complete sets.

problem is the bezels on the bay are NOT COMPLETE. they are from diamond setters that replace a customers bezel with a stone set bezel, and they reuse the inner rings and screws! and sell off the parts they don't need... don't get scammed!
