  1. Wouldnt a 7753 drop right in then??

    -O

    no.

the gen HBB uses a 7750 with modified chrono module, this allows it to still have a quick set date feature and aviod having a pusher for the date on the case. a 7753 would be the wrong movement to install and would require a pusher on the case. Interesting to note: the navi (3,6,9) uses a 7753 and DOES not have a case pusher. you have to wind all the way around to get the date to advance.

  2. Here it is my beauty.

It has installed a rel All swiss moviment EXACT SAME AS ORIGINAL with the swiss module to take the subdial from 12 to 3 o'clock.

very very nice. this is a project watch that would want to OWN.

but i'm thinking that The Zigmeister used a eta/val 7750 with polished plates and 3x A7750 21kbeats (3,6,9 hacked movements) to make this. so NOT a SWISS MODULE to take the subdial from 12 to 3 o'clock, but rather assembled from A7750 parts.... correct?

when you you ever decide to sell I am SURE YOU WILL HAVE SHORTAGE of Buyers. :-)

    cheers!

  3. Yes, and in my experience, other than Omega and Rolex, hands are the hardest OEM part to get (aside from cases, of course). If anyone can post consistent source for OEM hands, they'd be a hero.

What would really be cool is if a Breit seconds @ 3 movement would come up...

this movement (running seconds @3 is a ETA2892-A2 with a kelek module. (breilting OWNS kelek) :-)

    Quote:

Since Breitling's acquisition of Kelek, the level of finishing and modifications to their movements has increased dramatically. For example, a Breitling caliber 13 enhanced by Kelek tested accurate to +1 second per 24 hours (WatchTime magazine) and is nicely decorated with Geneva Waves and circular graining.

    Who is Kelek?

Kelek is a Swiss watch manufacturer founded in 1896 and owned by Breitling. In addition to finishing and modifying Breitling's ETA/Valjoux/other base movements to high standards, Kelek develops in-house modules for them. You can find Kelek's official Web site at www.kelekwatches.com.

There are reports indicating that Kelek has now been fully integrated with Breitling and its new name is Chronometrie Breitling.

  4. An Asian 7750 misses all the Swiss tell signs (eg ETA hallmark and a fine regulator) so basically everyone can tell it's not an ETA 7750.

If it's an ETA 7750 it will never look like a gen Breitling movement, even with the Breitling rotor, as the caliber13 is covered with perlage and cotes de geneve.

    Example

So why go through all the trouble....

actually the link IS NOT OF A caliber 13(ie eta/valjoux 7750). Caliber 13 actually IS NOT COVERED with perlage and/or cotes de geneve, but is rather stock looking in appearance. :-) 2892-A2 is however engraved.. ;-)

  5. My Serie Speciale is already brushed (it was a special edition from Joshua), and is currently getting double AR coated, relumed and the subdial hands painted black.

very nice indeed! but at this point you really should install a gen seriespeciale dial before the caseback is sourced... i used to have one.. long gone now.. but they do exist! happy hunting!

  6. 1. when used, that particular thread will not show in a g**gle search.. unless you did a direct seach with the hidden/mispelling.

    2. many users use the same id on may f*rums and bid sites... hides postings and will not show in a direct search.

do a quick search on g**gle for a rep or rep brand... betcha rw*, tr* and all the rest come up

  7. can anybody comment on these Breitl*** straps?

perhaps not OEM but with proper markings.. maybe.. gen, grey market, or rep, either high quality or low.. ??

    *bay id: hen_as

sample: 24MM BREITLING BLACK CROC STRAP BAND DEPLOYANT BUCKLE Item number: 230126277146

non of the 'collectors' here list a 24mm(for WORLD,SA, and Bently's)leather as avail or even made..

the first generation breitly rep straps were/are absolute crap. the ultimate straps are 90% as good as the gens(i know from exp.)

are these straps as good as the ultimate 22mm that we have access to?

    cheers!

  8. i own the navi crystals :-)

they are somewhat yellow but actually upon inspection, i feel they are not that bad at all! it appears more yellow when the spectrum of light is reflected from the bottom of the crystal and more blue if the light being reflected is from the top of the crystal. they really ARE NOT THAT BAD. infact i will use them as is.. i will try and post some pics when i get a chance..

i never-ever-ever noticed or suspected they had a ar coating of any kind!

all three are from different dealers.

all three are from different times of purchase (0-18months)

all three are different versions... one TT, on SS and one modern(3,6,9)
