  1. I have to agree that the iphone is tops for entertainment. However, I don't think RIM is about to orphan any of their next gen devices. I'd expect to see some sort of centralized downloading application soon. My Telus version already has a primative version of this and offers a couple of directly downloadable apps through Blackberry Help. Still a ways to go until it offers an iphone experience though.
  2. Hey Everyone, I just picked up a Blackberry Storm a couple of days ago and I'm quite impressed. There a few minor issues that I'd like to resolve and was wondering if anyone has tried updating their OS with a leaked beta version? Is their a risk of "bricking" the phone by doing this?
  3. Project, Which model is the last picture of your tag line? That's one of the best looking watches!
  4. Rolex is for the aristocracy. Omega is the face of the new generation. That said, I'd never say no to a Sea-Dweller....
  5. It's simple: buy her the gen with all the money you saved buying reps! Seems to be working for me!!
  6. Well said. I guess I'm more in the "everythin in moderation camp." I think it's funny that the dealers are referred to as "collectors".....
  7. Thanks everyone. There's definitely no hum. I'm sending it off to Eric this week. I'll post some pics of the finished product in 4-6 weeks.
  8. The trick is finding a trusted dealer.....
  9. Is there any way to check that it's Swiss movement inside? I haven't got a good sense of this in my past month of research on replicas. I'm assuming that if a relatively trusted dealer says it's Swiss then it usually is? That's a nice watch by the way.
  10. Beautiful watches ALL. The more time I spend on this form, the more I'm drawn to Panerai.
  11. Thanks everyone. Freddy, I contacted Eric Grafton at one of the sites you recommended. He seems willing and capable. Unfortunately, everyone who can fix an Accutron is somewhere other than Canada. The Accutron story is a good read for anyone that's interested.
  12. 30 views. No posts. I'll take that as a "NO". Just curious, how do we influence the manufacturers to do a better job? Is it self driven on their part or is it because of complaints we send to the dealers?
  13. I have an old Accutron 214 from 1963. It stopped working about a month ago. Does anybody know of someone that fix a 214? Preferrably in the Toronto area. Thanks
  14. Thanks for the info. I'll look into this movement a little more.
  15. Anyone have a copy of Joshua's Beginmariner? I'm trying to figure out how it compares to the Noobmariner, but can't find a review. Are they the same watch?
