  1. Use moneygram, I did. Did it online too and it was easy, no problems from US. Got my watch fast and a few extra straps to boot. Just my $.02. Using your credit card gives you some security if you have a good CC company, which I do.
  2. You're right. I'm a bad person for not noticing pvd was available. Shoot me, I deserve it. Sheesh.
  3. he emailed me, thanks all. just bought a dial from him. glad he's got more on the way.
  4. Andrew is dead on perfect to deal with. Always responds quickly to emails and ships out his watches very fast. As for movements, no idea on his knowledge base and I assume all reps from him a standard rep lume.
  5. Anyone know what size i need for a PAM004? And preferably PVD'd if op can do it. Thanks
  6. Thinking of doing a 203a like avitt and need dial info. Thanks.
  7. That sucks, sorry to hear it. Maybe put a WTB on here or repgeeks for a used AP ROO and use that movement if you like your face. I bought one of these over a month ago, keep it on a watch winder constantly, play with the chronos occasionally, and have never had a problem. but I got it from Andrew and he's, so far, had the best quality watches IMHO.
  8. Hi all. I am looking to bite the bullet on a FM. I have so many reps and a few gens but i don't own a single "dress" watch. I'm picky so i am looking for advice on which FM is closest to gen, which one might take a gen dial etc. I have heard that for the conquistador, i want a 2892 movement, which may not be available any longer, not sure. The casablancas i've seen on andrew's site look pretty good, but the numbers appear a bit fat. any advice and suggestions for sites would be greatly appreciated. TIA
  9. Oh my lord, you're a freak!!!!! And I'm jealous, oh so jealous....
  10. I wrote a review on repgeeks a rep AP (big) box i received from aoobuy.com. I went so far as to say i received constant email replies from Helen and that the box arrived within 7 days of shipping. Very fast. Box came, outer box had some damage to two corners and the wood box, though very beautiful as far as the wood, had chipping where the lid meets the bottom and the "lock" didn't function at all. I get an email last night from "Steve" in China who works for the company. He offered to send me a replacement, all i had to do was pay $40.00 for shipping it, as it's big and heavy. Oh, wow, what a deal. Considering shipping was only $20 the first time they sent me the box. Idiot me offers to pay him $20 to ship me another box. He goes down to $30. I tell him $20, again, that's it and i shouldn't be offering even that. He comes back with $30, sorry. He's always nice btw, never a jerk. I basically email him back telling him no deal, i shouldn't pay anything at all since it's my who caused the damage. And by the looks of the damage, the wood box damage was caused prior to shipping. The outer box was most likely caused by poor packaging as there was no buffer between the mailing box and the outer/inner boxes packaged inside. I informed him that i would write a review on this site and RWG - not because I'm an a$$, but because i think people should know that this is how aoobuy works. So, that's my story. And i'm filing a claim with paypal. I shouldn't be out any money at all for damage that isn't my fault. Am I wrong? I certainly shouldn't be asked to pay for return shipping of the box, then I'm out more money. Am I being an a$$?
  11. I am also on rep geeks and wanted to see what other forums there were out there. Rep Geeks is very informative and it appears you have the same format here, great! I have ordered 3 watches from Andrew at Trusty and have received one of them (others are the secs at 12 AP ROO and the Chopard Gran Turismo - holiday so won't ship to feb). Andrew is fantastic, always responds to emails and ships quick. Any advice is always appreciated. Thanks DAVid
