  1. Welcome, yet another floridian. I think you will enjoy this forum, I know I am.
  2. Hey all. Just recieved a OMG0002A - Omega Planet Ocean Orange 45mm with SS Bracelet from Andrew for my son. He is a very big boy and I need to add two links to this watch so it will fit him. They are the screw type links. Anyone have any extra links to sell or know where I can pick a couple up. It will make a boy very happy indeed.
  3. I originally was set on getting a SMP Bond but after reading and reading, I have decided to get the SMP Chrono instead as one of my first reps....waiting now.
  4. As I sped down the dark rural road, I thought finally, no prying eyes. I can now now look at and read about all the reps I want without being bothered. That is how I roll. I tend to isolate when I have seen too many reps. Then there was the blue lights in the rearview. I slam the laptop shut and slowly pull over to the sholder. The officer comes up to the driver side window and asks for lisence and registration and states, thought I saw the glow of a personal pc coming from inside your car, mind opening up the laptop sir. As I did, he saw the Noobie rep enlargement photo and barked, just as I thought, driving under the influence of reps. Sir, I will need you to get out of the vehicle and blow into this repilizer for me. Well from there you can guess. That was my first DUIR but not my last. Thanks for sharing & Keep coming back.
  5. By-Tor, Actually, it was this article that you wrote on the tag, and the others (Omega & Rolex) that helped me make my decisions. I really wanted a SMP but after reading about the flaws of this model since the factory closed, I choose the SMP Chrono. Read that the chrono is very close to the gen. Of course the Rolex is a noobie. I have one rolex rep, a comex, but have no idea what the movement is yet. It is very nice and keeps good time, got it through a friend. The one thing I have learned about the comex's though is that they do not have the green hologram on the back but rather a large engraved number and mine does not have the he valve. Learned that there were a few gens toward the end of the production of the comex's that did not have the he valve so it could be pretty authentic other than the back. Yup, im hooked.
  6. Well, new member here. I have spent so much time reading everything here about Omega SMP's, PO's and Rolex Sub's that I think I am getting pretty knowledgeable. I am so appreciative to all of you that have spent time writing articles for us "noobies" to become more aquainted with this hobby. I finally made a decission to buy a Seamaster Pro Chronograph with the 7750 movement, the 45mm PO in orange, and an upgraded Rolex Sub with the 21J movement through Andrew. I am really looking forward to getting these in. Also trying out a Tag through Silix, the quartz lady link looks pretty nice as the gen is a quartz also. I feel it is time to become a donating member now to show my thanks to you all for the great information I have gathered here. I will pass along my buying experience when my products arrive, hopefully with some nice pictures too.
  7. Thanks, I look forward to seeing what is offered here.
  8. I am interested in seeing the inventory offered by Eurotimezbut do not see how to log into site as new member. Am I missing something?
  9. Thanks for the welcome guys. Yes, I have been reading since I joined. Very much to learn and I see how this can become yet another obssesive behavior
  10. Hello all. I am totally new to reps and have been reading all I can to learn more. A friend sold me a sub stainless for 220 and as far as I can tell it is very nice, runs smooth and I really like it. I have a gen tag heure pro 1000 that is in very good shape that I bought about 15 years ago. I am just soaking up knowledge on this website, thanks. My next purchase will most likely be an omega seamaster pro rep and I am learning about them now. Anyway, hello from sunny Florida.
