unbelieveable.....also is BS the way he dissed the other repair guys in our phone calls...when all along, i believe he was setting up and planning the big heist. the guy should be behind bars.

WTF???? i know he says hes got health problems...but how tough is it to send my watches back, or reply to a PM? No, this just reeks of RIPOFF.....and i suspect this is a planned ripoff. The health thing doesnt explain it all....i believe we have a con artist in our midst, and his name is big red joe, the ripoff king. he will pay, one way or another, this is for sure. edited to say: Well, turns out i was off base on the ripoff comments....but i was at my wits end...sucks it took making a post like this to get a response. anyway, hes sending them back, so i am semi happy :-)

VC's are great as its a rare human who really has seen many of them.....i was in an AD that did not carry VC's, and was trying on some omegas....the salesmen who has been there for eons and is a self titled watch guru, handled said VC rep, and had absolutely no clue it was not real...in fact he kissed my arss like i was fricken j paul getty back from the grave, with a pocketful o cabbage, and watches on me mind. lolol

it sure makes me appreciate the service i have received from EL and Luckyyy in similar situations. i think i know who i will and will not order future stuff from.

yeah, but they could be stolen in customs? have u ever had or heard of the experience of something being in customs for 2 weeks and then receiving?

they havent sent me one.

all i know is that the tracking number on usps.com says inbound to customs April 20th, 8:45 am. Normally my packages have been out of customs by the next day at the latest, and at my door soon after. dont know the dealer exact policy on this type thing, but the fact that it was a multiple watch order seemed to weigh heavily on his not wanting to resend...basically he said, "being that it is for 4 watches, u have to demand from post office"....but i listed what happened when i called post office on it in my initial post.

i will not name the dealer now as i really hope to work out something with him, but its not sounding good thus far in the email communication....here are the particulars. several watches ordered, shipped via EMS, stuck in customs for over 2 weeks. obviously the watches were somehow snagged, stolen, or what have you....as this is what others experiences seem to be when the tracking number on usps.com is listed eternally as in customs. dealer is telling me to demand watches from the post office.....usps says that there is nothing they can do when it is "in customs"...i can file a claim if i like they say, but nothing they can do in customs. i have ordered quite a few watches from dealers on this board and TRC for me and friends here locally....over 30 id say. had this occur once each with eddie and luckyyy in the past....both thankfully sent out new watches. but this dealer is not appearing to be willing to resend the watches, even though i offered to provide another $100 as a way of sharing cost of loss. again, ive ordered many a watch from this particular dealer, and would like to continue to do so....but if the dealer will not be reasonable, what would you do?

glad you got and like it....ya i noticed same thing with the flimsy crown and lever, but the crown/lever to me looks good, and does lock into place, but the crown is none too smooth when using to set.

i was at the golf SHOP...the store, not the course...i can barely type with the huge pam on....let alone golf. i do often wield a watch on the course however....current "golf watch" of choice is the black dialed explorer 2. a watch made for golfing, light and tight fitting.

i was at the golf store...and was taking a 3 wood in to be regripped...next to me was a guy wielding a pam 024, and i was wearing my EL arktos. I didnt notice the guys watch, he noticed mine and said nice watch...i look over and he shows me his 024. he said he'd never seen the model i had....both put out wrists up and put watches next to each other as i was telling him how huge the arktos case was...but on close scrutiny its about or is the exact same height as the 024...damn the cases are a tight tight match....same exact look/size/shape just a slightly diff color in the case....maybe the arktos is supposed to be a diff color metal case?? it all happenbed so quickly i didnt tell the guy i was sporting a rep...but the difference i saw most noticeable was the color of the markers...his had a more yellowish color then mine, and nose to nose this was obvious to me at least. other then that, damn these are close...of course there is the date font, but the different coloring of the markers and numbers was a bigger giveaway in my eyes, this guy didnt notice or at least say anything. but the 024 just looked crisper on the dial too...though maybe it was too quick to really say that, it looked damn good.

do u think it is superlum, or just good solid rep lum and good photography?
