Thanks for the tip. duly noted but the watch is in the hands of RoninQ. He has a vintage thing and is doing a project and wanted my bezel.

Sorry man, already sold to an RWG member who happens to live in the same city i do. i was actually sad to see it go after all the discussion. thanks anyway. brian

He happens to live in the same city i do so no pp or shipping to worry about . he gave me exactly what i paid for it. aftr all the discussion about it i was kind of sad to see it go. oh well, at least it's still in "the family". thaks for the reply. brian

Gotchya. I'm still learning this wonderful world so bare with me...
-
No problem. Good luck with your search. Brian

I agree, the watch isnt bad and it has grown on me in the last 48 hours. My big thing is it wasn't what i ordered. I ordered a vintage sub with a crown guard. Thanks for the encouragement though. Brian
-
Yeah, thanks Mike. I'm affraid i've learned the hard way. But, from whan i've learned thru comments it may not as bad a watch as i am thinking, even though it wasn't what i ordered.

I took out 3 links without any problems.

exactreplicas.com this particular vintage is not shown in their catalog. i looked at the vintage/non swiss that has a crown guard and got this one so you would be rolling the dice. also my 50% off was a "limited time offer". you can try and enter the discount code and see what happens. it is crunch50. good luck.

The glass is half full. you're right . I will definately experiment with it. Thanks for the encouragement.

-
I sure will. Look for it later tonight or tomorrow. I'll post a new topic.
-
I dont mind at all. Well, they list the watch at $299.00 or so and they claim a 54% discount and sent out an email offering an additional 50% off all watches so at the end of the day including shipping it was $59.00.
-
You're absolutely right . It doesn't look bad at all. And yes, they did use a low profile case. I was just unhappy that I didnt get the one I ordered. Not sure of the model number but I wanted a vintage model with the crown guard.
-
Yeah, they do offer good discounts but it's not worth it. The Vintage Sub I bought from them said it was originally $299.00. Yeah right. So they scam people with the "discount". Anyway, thanks for the comment.

I have purchased 3 watches from them. The first purchase was a while ago (pre RWG days) and that went ok ie i got the watch i ordered and the watch is ok. The second experionce was marginal (pre RWG). I rcvd the watch and had fairly good communication with er but the watch i rcvd was not the same as photo. It was nice enough and they offered 30% off but not what i thought i ordered. Is it wearable and do i wear it? yes. Third and final purchase (also pre RWG) the watch i rcvd is totally the wrong model of vintage sub and feels really cheap (paid $59.00 half off and they claim to be 50% cheaper than all others). Again, is it wearable and do i wear it? yes. Would i take it off to show it off? no. So long story short. Avoid er unless you want a POS. They are cheap when they offer random discounts but their product reflects that. Hope that helps. Brian ps i have some photos of my vintage sub pos unter the roles area "New POS"

Amen brother. I have seen the light and am saved... Brian

You know its funny. I found RWG just after the purchase of this POS. That is life i suppose. Thanks for commenting. Brian

I rcvd this yesterday from a site i'm kind of embarrassed i purchased from. Lesson learned. Lets just say they claim to be "exact replicas". Anyway, nice looking vintage but not the model i ordered from their site or the watch i viewed on their site. It keeps stopping and feels cheap. Lesson learned. Nice looking though and i thought i would share my new POS and my experience with you all. Thanks for viewing in advance. Brian

They're tanks!!! Very solid.

Thanks. I love it. Yeah, the new "red" model is nice. My purchase was inspired by the older version though. Both great Omega's. Brian
