  1. As far as the dial and bezel I have seen (thru the web) versions with a shrunken dial and smaller bezel.
  2. I bought this watch impulsively and have grown to love it. It has that Steve Zissou feel to it.
  3. Maybe i should be more specific. The lume on this watch was not done by Vac, only the service. I just thought I'd post some photos for s.n.g.
  4. It's a Phong dial (according to red) and a Josh case.
  5. Back from Vac Hey that rhymes So I just got my 1655 (bought from redwatch with a new NATO from Timefactors) back from vaccum for a little tlc and I must say I am impressed (again) by his work, pricing and professionalism. I've had 2 watches lumed by Vac and figured I'd check out his watch repair service and Vac comes thru again. Watch needed some date wheel attention and general tlc and it got it. Thanks Vac. Here are a few photos:
  6. transformer for me (but with the Coke bezel)

  12. thanks. i actually used the tip of an old rolex sub stem and sunk it into the T48 center and vuala. it worked. you need to be able to tighten the crown good and tight so it wont unscrew when adjusting the time/date/etc.
  13. i just read this further. No, DSN crownguard was not modified. it fits without any issues.
  14. I FOLLOWED MICKEY PADGE'S LEAD AND DECIDED TO INSTALL A T48 CROWN TO MY 27A. THE ORIGINAL CROWN WAS A BIT WEAK. THIS IMO IS WAS A MUCH NEEDED UPGRADE. THANKS TO MICKEY PADGE FOR THE INSTALL TIP . VERY HELPFUL. SEAFOAM PS. I'M NOT YELLING I JUST LIKE TO TYPE IN UPPERCASE. A FEW CRAPPY PHOTOS:
  15. WOW! Now that's some serious crown information. "With the crown and the threading and the mglaiven..."
