  3. It's a great feeling indeed...
  4. So I bought the SMP 300M from Paul at timepieces. Great watch and experience as usual. A few anomalies however. I noticed the bezel insert was slightly buckled at the pearl area and discovered (thru Toadtorrent's SMP thread) the pearl was flush with the bezel instead of a slight protrusion as it should be. I removed the bezle per P4GTR's instruction to expose said anomaly. I discovered that the pearl incert hole was not quite large enough to accomidate the pearl itself. I simply drilled the hole a bit larger, reinserted the pearl and vuala... it sunk in perfectly. Anway, I thought I'd show my work. Small detail but was important for me to address. I did not take any pictures ot the process. seafoam

  12. I forgot to post the original...
  13. So i got the SSD Lite from Andrew and all the reviews were correct. Great rep but some flaws. One flaw i was able to correct myself. I think it was the comparison of the pearl of this watch to a zit that inspired the modification. I basically just popped out a pearl of an old "dead" Sub and used some spray edhesive to secure that pearl to the SSD. You can see a few nicks in the pearl from the removal but it looks ok for me. Anyway, here are a couple of shots of my work.
  14. This baby is getting a lot of wrist time... It's just so beefy!!
  15. Wow. I didn't think it got any worse... I guess there are some redeemable qualities here...
  16. Ok, so here is my first rep watch purchased in NYC for $45.00. It looked and seemed well at the time but i wasnt' really sure what to look for. Anyway, i thought it would be fun to show this baby off. Enjoy and please, dont judge me. seafoam ps. yes, the discoloration in the case is some kind of cheap metal painted to look like stainless steele.
  17. New Sea Dweller from Andrew for me. Maybe the Omega SMP300 tomorrow...
  18. Mike, try Paul at timepieces http://www.timepieces.byethost13.com/timep...20Bracelet.html seafoam

  21. I bought the SMP 300M Chrono "Red" with the Asian Valjoux 7750 and i absoutely love it. Good choice. Brian ps. the watch is a man's jewlery, so buy as many as you want. I look at my wife's jewelry box and am justified in getting that new SSD!!
  22. My cheap Sea Dweller... It works for now. I'm waiting to get the SSD from Andrew.
