  1. Alright guys, so I am down to these 3 watches as my next "BIG" purchase. Which one would you get?? I love all 3, but could only purchase one at the moment. I've heard that these 3 watches are some best out of the box ones that you can possibly get and are 99.999% spot on. Here are some things to consider: My wrist is relatively small at 6.25", however I do like the bigger style watches. Although I love the C1, I was told that I would probably be better off with a Graham since the C1 wears alot bigger. I did try the C1 at an AD and it did fit a little big but that watch was soo nice. I did not try on a Chronofighter Tech Seal because they didn't have one in stock, but I did try on a PVD Swordfish, and that watch seemed to wear more comfortably. Any suggestions on which one I should get?? Maybe some wrist shots of the above said watches would be very helpful in making my decision as I can only buy one of them right now. Thanks!!
  2. I love Richard Mille watches also and was looking to buy, however I do agree...the rep quality is not that great yet. Maybe in the future there will be better quality ones, just not now.
  3. Love the SS C1. I am in the market for one.
  4. I would also love to see a wrist shot.
  5. I didn't know if you were local or not. I'm in Broward, near Ft. Lauderdale. I will try and stop by Las Olas to try on the Concord, but wanted to see the rep in the flesh but I wouldn't want to inconvenience you unless there was a GTG which you brought the watch to. The only Graham I like is the SS Swordfish version with black dial. The Chronofigher looks very uncomfortable with that bulky grenade type pin.
  6. I am currently looking to purchase this watch. Are you in South FL by any chance? Its hard to pull the trigger without seeing one in the flesh. I also have relatively small wrists (about 6.5", or slightly less), however I had a Hublot Big Bang SS and that size was nice, I like larger faced watches. I am down to 2 watches, either the Concord C1 or the Graham Swordfish... its a tough decision!!
  7. Thank you. So it's always a good idea to request an actual picture of the exact watch that will be sent to you to from a dealer, especially for this watch. I saw a C1 for sale on another board, but unfortunately someone beat me to buying it.
  8. Beautiful watch! Enjoy it! And yes, your correct...the chances of being called out for a RW is almost slim to none
  9. Thanks for this feedback. I am also currently looking to buy a Concord C1.
  10. I am in the midst of sourcing a gen rubber Concord C1 strap with gen clasp, both used ones. Is $125 a fair price? Is there a big difference, has anyone handled a gen and rep Concord C1 and noticed any difference in the feel, etc? Just want some input as I located a gen one. Thanks!
  11. Just wanted to post a quick update. I took the watch in today finally to my local watchsmith and he told me that all of the tabs were nice and tight, etc. He said that the movement is a tad too big for the case, that is why it seems to "move around' somewhat. Is this normal? Is this something that has to be taken into account for it being a rep? I am really thinking of returning this watch to the seller, as it can get annoying at times and doesn't feel right. Thanks
  12. Unfortunately I don't have the skills or expertise needed to try and attempt bending any clasps myself. I fear of possibly damaging something even more. However it didn't seem that those 2 clamps which I mentioned in my previous post were bent at all. They looked straight. I tried again tonight and opened the caseback(mine is see through non Tuiga version). This time I figured I would try and simply put my finger on top of the rotor and apply a little pressure to the back of the rotor while I was holding the watch up directly facing me and while I applied minimal pressure with my pointer finger it seemed that the dial and movement didn't move at all. It seems that it's like lacking some pressure against the rotor since applying minimal force helped. Offcourse it went back to being loose when I took my finger off the rotor. I hope my explanation made some sense. Thank you and I will report back after my visit to the watchsmith.
  13. I'm positive that its not just the rotor spinning which is causing the dial to move. I didn't get a chance to bring the watch in today since I was busy but I will stop by the local watchsmith this week and will report back. I hope this is a small easy fix (seems like something needs to be tightened inside - although I only saw 2 screws on the back movement when I open the case back and they seemed tight already).
  14. Nice to see that there are quite a bit of locals on here
  15. I purchased this watch used from another member here. However I am aware of that this HBB was one of the few that were produced and they came from Angus (PureTime). I will email who I bought it from and see what they say. I also brought it to a local watch repair shop today, however the watchsmith wasn't in, so I will try back tomorrow. Thank You
  16. I also forgot to say that looking only at the dial visually, you can see that the dial moves only VERY LITTLE. However, when your holding the watch in your hand, or if its on the wrist you can definitely feel that something inside (dial and or movement) is loose. Looking through the case back, its not noticeable visually that anything moves (I am not sure if the spinning rotor is throwing it off visually). Thank You
  17. I believe there were only 2 tabs once I open the case back. There was one on the bottom, and then another one at the top (had to move the rotor a little to uncover that one). If I bring this watch to a local watchsmith (at the mall, etc.), do you think they will be able to tighten it up somehow? I am not sure if its the dial that moves or the movement (or if the movement and dial is one piece - when it comes to watches I am not very technical and don't know if they are attached to one another or not). Thank you for your help.
  18. Upon closer observation, I noticed the dial and or movement is a little loose just by moving the watch around up and down. You can hear little "clicks" when the watch is moved up and down. I tried to do exactly as you described, however the same thing happens. The tabs were already pretty tight when I opened the case back. Is this just a faulty watch?
  19. Love this watch...it was on my list but I got a HBB SS first. Any wrist shots?
  20. Hello everyone, I am relatively new to this site and I just picked up a used HBB SS from another forum member. I had a quick question. When I hold up the watch and I hit the lowest pusher, it seems that the dial itself moves when the pusher is pushed in? Is that normal? Does that mean the dial is not affixed correctly and is loose? The dial doesn't move around if I move the watch around, only if the pushers are pushed in. Thank you for any feedback on this.
  21. Sounds good I've been to plenty of car GTG's, but not a watch enthusiast one should be cool.
  22. Beautiful watch! I'm in the market to also pickup a HBB like this. Enjoy it and wear it in good health!
  23. I have it down to 2 watches after this post! I love the AP ROO, but if the movement is troublesome then I'd rather get something else. So its down to the Graham Swordfish and the HBB (Either SS, or Black Magic...but I want a Ceramic Bezel). Looks like everyone has something positive to say about the HBB...there must be a reason for that. Great advice! Thank You!
  24. I'm new to this site, but I'd be more than happy to come to the next GTG. I'm in South FL...Coral Springs. Let me know when the next meet is!
