  1. Are you referring to the bezel off centre? And this seems to be a standard mis build on this rep with the date being to big.

Do you know of any other flaws on these reps?

Hence why I've put a thread up asking about advice on this rep :)

no - the hole numerals - print looks off 2me - not bold enough - to far off-center

the Date wheel could be fixed maybe with an BK or TC DW overlay - this is what would bother me most ;)

i also don't like the CGs - the look less defined on the outside and with too much material on the inside.

    cheers,

    Frank

  2. i have decided that this will be my first build i have fallen in real love im starting to collect parts if anyone has any for sale let me know

a little warning - the DG movement is totally completely absolutely shitty - i would op an other moment - but that's just me - a lot of other guys love the movement ;)

  3. I posted this on RG already: This one is the same thing as the wm9 v3 LV m serial. The issue of the crown hole area of the case being cut too deep leading to the problem of the crown possibly hitting the bezel can be remedied by:

    1. not pressing the bezel assembly to tight to the case. With the bezel riding higher, the crown won't hit it. Of course the gap between the bezel and the case is more/wider

    OR

    2. re-install the tube but don't screw it all the way tight to leave a gap so the crown is farther away from the bezel. I prefer this solution.

It's still a very good LV. The LV insert and dial are the best components for a 16610LV to date.

    bk

option 1 will look shitty :)

anybody tried option 2 ? did you use epoxy to secure the tube ? will it be still waterproofed ? interesting option - worth a try ;)

  4. I got a case some days ago from Yuki, I guess from his new source. It is the worsest case I've ever seen in my rep time! Everything is wrong, like lug shape (there is missing a lot of material!), lughole position (some higher some lower), rehaut too shallow, crownguards way too thick - and the two biggest things are, the tube is not centred between the CG's and there are between the lugs only 19,2 mm!? That means you can not put a endlink between the lugs without shaving it down, or the lugs (that's what I did)!

So if you don't have the tools and skills to correct these things, stay better away from Yuki!!!

BTW, there was never a 1680 case from MBK! Thery are all 5513 engraved, also the rehaut and inner case dimensions are made to fit a 5513 dial. I tried often to put a gen 1680 dial in these cases, but the dial diameter is too big. Only a correction on a lathe will make it 1680 like. On my next project I will use a MBK 1680 case, which will be machined to take a gen 1570. After that it goes straight to Phong, he should regrave the case to 1680. I think this will be the best looking 1680...

Also don't underrate the cartel subs! They are also very good. Only the short CG's sucks...

thanks for the info ! :fool:

wanted to order a case for my 5513 :(

  5. BK TW crown height is on par with the TC 16610 crown height??

That's not what I gather but crown height has never been an issue for me.

Which is why I'm sticking to the TW :)

But the question is...will the BK TW guts fit into a TC case issue free ??

Meaning will the 2836-2 fit the TC case..??

Due to crown height I'm saying I don't believe it will be a straight drop in...but I really don't know. :)

    fit - no problemo
