  1. My suggestion is...don't touch anything!!!
  2. he also told to me that the balance shaft is the same...as a lot of others gear in the mechanics...i think that may be helpfull to most of us to collect all of this information in a single post...for example the gear exchangeability of the 7750 the possibility of create a frankengear and so on that can help to suggest at watchsmith the right fix tips for a7750.
  3. Just for infos...the rachet gear was a "frankengear"...he take out the axle from old a7750 rachet then the same from the eta rachet and refitted the asian axle into the eta rachet...he used only 3 tools to do that...first he fitted the gear on a small piece of iron with a lot of hole of different measures(i do not know the name of such tool) than pressed the pinion of the old rachet out of gear with a flat alluminium tool...the same for the eta rachet then it lay the asian axle on the eta rachet hole and then it used a sort of punch with a hole inside the same measure of the axle of asian gear...he pressed the punch and the gear was fitted inside and firmly with the eta rachet and a "frankengear" was born! all this just because the axle of eta rachet are bigger than the asian... i hope this can help to fix this problem.
  4. He disassembled all the mechanics in less than 30 minutes...i've never seen a so fast working...he put all the pieces as disassemble it in a sort of container with a lot of small divisions in it and then put it inside a cleaning machine...we make a coffee break and the parts are washed and dried...after this he refitted all the mechanics while using 2 or 3 tipes of lubricant (i don't remember but i think 3 types and one of this was black and very liquid and evaporates very quick leaving a sort of grey powder on some parts of the watch)... after about 40 minutes the mechanics was completely assembled and then it refitted inside the case...He told me to wear the watch for about a week to know if any adjustments was necessary. he also told me that the mechanics was very good...really impressive for a chinese workmanship!and no teeth inside mechanics nor dust...he think that it was missing from factory... p.s. he worked for about 25 years in a breitling authorized service center in italy and the cost of all the works was 30 euro and a coffee.
  5. Done!Today morning...it take about 1 hour for disassembly cleaning and reassembly with new gear...He was really a lightning!!!...he used an orig 7750 and the gear fit perfectly!it's very strange for me...may be a new series or upgrade of a7750 to make more pieces compatible with eta7750?
  6. Chuckle?what means?excuse me but i'm italian Do you suggest to change the gear?or just wait that the a7750 die and swap with a gen7750?
  7. I do not know if watchmaker is the right word...excuse me...the man who fix the watches...he examined the gear for a while...rotate the rotor and tried slowly to manual wind and sayd to me that the teeth is half-missing...only half teeth is missing and if i want this is a 10 minutes work to change it but in his opinion the watch stop to work before the gear loose another teeth if i avoid to use manual wind obviously...(and i avoid it...) now the question is...if you say to change the gear i go tomorrow morning and change it with no doubt...
  8. After i read this topic i opened all my watches (rep and gen) just to examine the grinding gear...all was perfect less than in one watch...It has the a7750 and this gear has only one missing teeth.Just one!all the others are perfect...So i go to watchmaker and he examined the gear and after closing the watch said to me just to wear it and forget the problem because just 1 teeth is not a problem at all...the only thing he said is to slowly use the manual wind or if possible to avoid it... I'll like to know your opinion. It' better to change the gear (that is perfect...has only 1 teeth missing) or it isn't a problem?
  9. I've done the trick!but now i'm not able to refit the rubber... now it's too late to try again...i'll do it in the morning!
  10. Yep!I'll like to know from lani if he tried to do this swap! or you must wait for my new slevin arrival in the next few days...il''try it but andrew from tt88 says that on CD2006 the strap won't go out...it's fixed from factory...it seem very strange to me but i'll try to make the swap as soon as i'll have the slevin in my hands...
  11. you're right!I'll become a supporter as soon as possible! For the xtal let me know how we can do that...
