  1. Cruise? Very nice. i love that model. The case, dial and it looks awesome on a nice dark brown croc.
  2. C'mon, don't you know that Panerai stole their designs It's an 8 day car clock and I balanced it on my wrist for the picture. Could be a future project to convert it to an 8 day wrist monster.........but for now, it sits on my desk ticking loudly away. The Connie has flown south.........way south.......as in Australia
  3. Thanks again for the kind words. The watch you are referring to is a Citizen Eco Drive Moonphase. Awesome wrist presence and a beautiful dial and very nice comfortable bracele. Of course, it keeps perfect time. Almost gave that one away for $100.00 but thankfully FedEx dropped the ball and the deal was called off. http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=msg...984#msg_1747149 Glad it was.
  4. I'm cool. Thanks for your kind words. Now, where are my pliers......damn casebacks
  5. Agreed, or expand the clasp cover outward. Should be an easy fix. Nice watch BTW.
  6. Let me be clear....Hewhoislikegod in my mind did no wrong. The Daytona was sold to him as swiss and he offered it up as swiss. I was never dissatisfied with our deal and he and I worked it out without regrets. Hewhoislikegod, asked only for an explanation as to why the new owneers of the watches he got from me in the trade are having these issues. He and I have communicated via PM and email and have apologized to each other for the actions we took resulting from both our frustrations. I offer here my sincerest apologies publicly to Hewhoislikegod and ask that the community not judge he nor I by this sad event. I thank everyone who has offered an opinion, and kind words regatrding the issue. I choose to put it beyond me and ask that noone be judged good or bad by these events. God bless, and have a very good weekend, Kurt.
  7. To all that have responded I say a warm and sincere thanks. I have been a lurker for a long time and have been a Rep. fan forever. I have owned and collected many watches over the last 25 years and I have always been about value over recognition. I believe the reps allow us to own watches that in my humble opinion, are valued way above normal. I stil contend that an all steel case, sapphire/acrylic crystal, swiss movement Replica sub is a better value than the real deal. I have owned no less that 6 subs in many different iteration, some rare some common, but everyone gone because I could not justify the prices. Vintage watches are my soft spot because you can get a watch with a true pedigree for very little money. I will always own Reps. Not to fool anyone, but to enjoy a look, design or style that I refuse to pay thousands for when it can be had, tweaked to perform and last every bit as well as the multi-thousand dollar originals. So, yeah, it's cool....I believe I can hang with you guys for awhile....but I ain't gettin into no Jacuzzi
  8. In spite of all the Cra* going on right now, I thought I would take a break defending myself and post a few pics.....Enjoy.
  9. FYI, @zetterdawg has sent me a PM apologising for pointing out the things he did. And certainly I am not railing against him or really anyone for that matter. I am simply not up for the challenge of defending myself based on someone's assesment (keep in mind that these watches were traded for a Swiss Daytona that turned out to be Asian). The person and I worked that out to my satisfaction and I made no noise about it. But to have to keep responding to emails and now worry over this individuals tact in calling in my references in the Gen community has really done some serious damage. I really appreciate everyon'e feedback good or bad regarding this issue. I just have never had to prove I wasn't guilty in any scenario ever........and I goota say IT SUCKS! :yucky:
  10. Ken While I appreciate your candor and request, it bothers me to have to provide References to someone who may use no tact whatsoever and now ruin my reputation by talking about a rep deal gone bad to a Genuine watch group.. I will at your request reserve my decision to depart for a little while. Thank you for reaching out. Enjoy the Labor Day weekend, Kurt.
  11. I am now officialy cheesed beyond all description. If you haven't seen the thread about the Yachty needing love...please have a look in the repair section. I offer to the community this: Regarding the Sub, Yachty and Panerai that I traded to Hewhoislikegod for a Swiss Daytona(that turned out to be Asian....but that's a story for another day), Hewhoislikegod now is going to insist that I have mislead him regarding the watches. I state as a man of my word, who is well respected and has never had a deal turn sour on the Genuine trading/selling forums, That the Yachty came to me from Blade in a trade. All that was done was a simple regulation to bring the watch into a respectable time keeping range. No more, no less. As for the Sub mentioned above, Mr. Hewhoislikegod is now saying he had the same thing happen to whomever he dealt the watch to. That watch was purchased new by me from King and again, nothing more than a regulation was done. I swam, showered, played golf and wore the watches regularly. Take a look at the thread I referenced above and you will see the pictures of the Yachty. They were taken the day the trade was made. In fact, I allowede Hewhoislikegod to use the pictures to aid in his sales here on the sales forum. I am surprised that the new Owner of the Panerai SlyTech that was part of this trade hasn't stepped up to mention how badly it was butchered. Now, All I can offer is what I have offered here. I have provided and offered to provide from the start of this many references to my Character and the quality of the watches I have sold or traded. I now grow tired of defending myself to strangers that I hoped would become like family as the other sites. I buy and sell watches because I enjoy it. Most of my deal are at best break even for me. I don't buy Replicas for any reason other than I like the styles and would never pay the prices. As for my 25 years of collecting, I have owned $20,000.00 watches and I still own many quartz watches. None have ever been misrepresented, and none have ever come back to me. So to all I say Adieu, it's been........an experience.
  12. Thanks for the kind words. I have and if the right deal comes along......hold on, my wife just came home......
  13. Not that it matters but......here are the pictures of the Yachty before it shipped.
  14. Perhaps to others it's.....um.....ugly. But to it's new daddy (ME), she sure is a thing of colorful beauty. Enjoy..... Oh yeah I forgot........... this came too. Very Stealthy. Opinions and hearty congratulations are always welcome. I pray everyone will have a safe Labor Day weekend. God Bless, Kurt.
  15. I would like to say something here> That watch was traded by me. The movement never left the case when my watchmaker (Owner operator of a very high end store) also a neighbor who is a good friend put it on a vibrograph and regulated it in the case. Now, I will tell you the watch came to me in a trade with Blade. However, I wore the watch on a regular basis. Swam with it, played golf wearing it and I never had an issue. So, to your assesment I could not read it and not step up. It was a fine timekeeper, looker and performer for me and I know the member I traded it to had it for such little time that I doubt any damage or tinkering occurred by him. As for the problems you outlined, well who's to say yeah or neigh. I may not spend alot of time here, but I have impeccable references in the Gen community and have never had a watch deal go bad. I am glad to see you did a fine job of correcting the issue the watch had when you received it. How it got that way after it left me is a mystery. Methinks someone is full of ***T. Justasgood
