I,ve just looked at eurotimez reviews and as most will be aware they've taken a bit of a beating lately. But now things "appear" a little bit differnt in there, all the old treads full of praise have been moved up by helina bumping them along. surely this is'nt on.
Hmm .Some do some don't, I think.
He sent one 22mm by mistake and it didn't. The replacment 20mm did have them.
If you dont get them already fitted, then you need to shape a small curve into them.
I doubt there is a right or wrong answer to this as its going to be down to luck.
I had the same situation, if you look at the pin holes, one side the pins look flush the other they look slightly sunk.
I guessed that the flush side was the direction they went in as they were tapped flush . It was a guess and it did work.
good luck .
I guess many end up here looking for a tips on what and where to buy. They then might make a purchase and just leave it at that, after all most just want a good copy to show off.
So the watch arrives in good order, they're happy with what they've got , and no modding required. Also are there more rep forums springing up?
I've a 42mm P/O for for approx 3 months.
It came from a dealer on here who tells us all how good his q/c is.
Yes it did arrive in good order but after 2 months all the lumes gone grey, even the pearl looks so dark it appears as if it fallen out. I've emailed the dealer but to no avail .
It came with a good asian clone movement and good hand size, it looks simmilar to the one narikka sells. but with better hand size's.
would it be easier to buy one from narikka and swop the movement/ hands
or try to relume it.
I've a work collegue who has a gen rolex, he tells me his local jeweler said
not to service his 10 yr old rolex. because if its never been opened then it
should have no need for any work.
Is there any logic to his thinking.
my gen smp has it
for what its worth yes there are some fab reps out there. I've a very good and cheap noob its fantastic for the price.
I've also a P/O paid alot more for this and yes it was nice to start with, it's since lost all lume and the markers are a dull grey. a gen never has this issue.
there a fair chance you know more about his watch and the p/o than he does.
claiming its a fake is easy, pointing out why is much harder if you dont know what your looking for.
I've a collegue who could only say my p/o was fake due to him knowing rolex reps have sharp bracelets and asumed the p/o would have the same giveaway.
he said this while wearing a gen p/o himself.
I read on here about a SMP hour markers going grey due to over exposure, well the same thing has happend to my p/o including the pearl . They started of white/geenish now they've gone greyish after strong sun exposure.
